  • Things that leave you wanting more, I believe those moments are called cliffhangers.

  • By the time Sailor Moon's transformation was finish the bad guys was gone already.

  • The reason I'm so picky with my anime is because of reasone like these. I love the violent, thought out, well-animated, and good ones. I enjoyed Bleach and Naruto in their primes, but as time went on, they grew more and more sucky. To me anyway. I want anime like Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, NGE, and the like to resurface and give these dull, crap anime new life. And Clannad is an over-the-top kind of sad piece of shit.

  • Why do you watch Cardcaptors and Sailor Moon?

  • @danieltepeskraus Why not?

  • Gainax animes are the embodiment of #3. Every. Last. One.

Though the worst offender by far has to be Panty and Stocking.

  • TOTALLY agree with number 4. Pokemon is one of my favorite animes, but it is so irritating when they have filler episodes!

  • One show that did utilize transformation sequences well was the Kirby anime mostly because you rarely ever got the same form twice. As such, the sequences never got old. (That and the longest they ever went was, like, 20 seconds)

  • The Pokemon anime was never good. We were just too young to realize this.

  • i remember that pokemon was the first anime i ever watch i was like 3 or something it was season 1 my mum recorded like 50 episode for me then i got pokemon yellow i almost 100% completed it and i was 5 it just the one's u had to trade over i couldn't get but when i played the game i stop watching the anime i watch a bit of season 2 then i stop and just played the games

  • Things in anime that should die: Anime itself with its obsessive, imperious fanbases.

  • @MrThembones :D your comment is so awesome chuck norms will punch anyone who doesn't thumb it up

  • @wtfnoobtube1 So everyone including you will get punched by chuck norms? You can't blame anime for the creeps who buy those weird anime pillows.and who is chuck norms?

  • Which type of OVA do you have, Normal or Hentai?

  • want a LONG story

    watch detective conan

    640 + episodes

15 movies (16th triler already out)

    11 ovas

    4 magic files

11 episodes of a live action series

its a great show with a great plot and in my opinion it comes in second as my fav right after one piece

  • I don't understand why everyone thinks the first season of pokemon is so original. If you watch all the pokemon episodes from the beginning up to now, its basically been exactly the same all throughout. The only change has been the voice actors in 2006.(That still pisses me off to this day)

  • @Red16641 It's not so much as original but more it was simpler and easier to enjoy. The characters were not as numerous and they battled gym leaders and Pokemon without all this extra Pokemon dancing positions or whatever they do now. It was just simple, easy fun, less characters and more focus on the main 3 and the adventures they had. Like when they found those Muk and Magnemite. Simple, easy, fun to enjoy/watch. Now all the original VAs are gone and the show has overkillled itself.

  • I agree when it comes to Pokemon. I love it too. The origional Kanto season was so totally awesome. I saw the begening of the Johto season(s). Gosh they have a lot of filler. When it comes to unresolved endings, I am looking at you, Fruits Basket anime. This series is wonderful, and it is one of my favorites. However the ending sucks. It is does not seem complete. It is like the offense of OVA. Fortunatly the manga nice, long and complete.

  • You have a point about long ass transformations. They do get repetitive. And in the numerous Transformers anime cartoons, they always keep saying "Transform!" just to do so. It's not so bad the first or second time, but after the 10th or 12th time it starts annoying the hell out of you. So you have a valid point about some of those common anime cliches.

  • Trigun and Street fighter 2 v I thought ended to soon!

  • Trigun and Street fighter 2 v I thought ending to soon!

  • 5: It is often the Americans who add that, so they have a legal excuse for censoring all what they do not like.

4: Also often invented by Americans so that they can censure 1 whole episode whit things they do not like.

3: Effective way to gain more money and censure the ending.

2: In America there is a law that says: Get rich or die trying. That is why this exists.

(I might be wrong about everything. But I think that these are the reasons why these things exist.)

  • what movie was 00:20-00:25 from?

  • @PITZWIL79 I was talking about fillers

  • Yugioh stopped doing the transformation eventually, but I do agree with that xD, 4 I agree, it's just for more profit and super annoying, Fillers are the worst. 3 Don't think I have experienced that. 2. Black butler has some really good O.V.A Good few.

  • @BornDynamics No, the reason they do the transformation scenes is because in the manga they had no choice but to do them so that people knew what just happened, and they try to conserve some of the style of the manga that MOST anime comes from in the first place.

  • He's a braceface huh? :)

  • Number 4 is basically describing the Scooby-Doo series.

  • absolutely right... Oh no, I gotta save my crush *super-long-transformation*... *saves the crush*

in real life the person already would have been dead -.-°

  • @SanxCatxNaru4ewa Maybe, unless the transformation actually slows down time, too.

  • yeah, i like pokemon but there IS alot of random stuff in the anime. i'd buy a box which has like only the Gym and Championship episodes or others that really matter but not a whole season.

  • what was that on 0:19?

  • 4) most irritating transformation= tokyo mew mew, ichigo (she is a brainless moron who should not be leader) so yes those things suck ass.

    3) thats true

    2) those do suck, majorly

    1) what the heck is an O.V.A?

  • @icelillymoon OVA stands for original video animation, it basically means it was a direct to DVD/video kind of thing. Anime OVA do not get broadcast on TV, they are strictly home video released anime, that's why like Tenchi Muyo has a a TV series called "Tenchi Universe". That was released on TV, but the Tenchi Muyo series was an OVA so that was only shown directly on video. They are usually short series like Ruin Explorers, FLCL, Murder princess etc.

  • @BionicSlime No, the Naruto OVA Mission: Protect The Waterfall Village appeared on TV awhile back, didn't it?

  • the Spongebob picture was perfect XD

  • Anime should only be around 13-52 episodes. Period.

  • at 4. soooo, your talking about filler?

  • "OH LOOK THEY'RE AN ELEPHANT"

    best transformation ever :D

  • I'm sorry, but if you hate on Pokemon, you never had a childhood.

  • @Madgreenguy hey i can hit on pokemon the fifth movie sucked

  • @Madgreenguy Pokemon art too basic for anime.

  • @Madgreenguy Dude, he said he loves Pokemon. He said he hates what it has become today, & so do I.

I hate the fact that there is no character development within it. Jessie & James have been idiots since day one (I like them, but they are idiots), Ash has now up to 4 female friends, & had never gotten romantically involved with ANY of them (no, I don't mean sex, I mean bf & gf), & the #1 reason: ASH HAS BEEN 10 FOR THE PAST 20 FREAKING YEARS!

So yeah, I agree with him.

  • @AfroToriFanMan Then you had NO CHILDHOOD! Joking, I know what you mean. Yea I was too quick to comment, I just simply read the title, then as I quick forwarded through the video and saw pokemon, I'm just like "no childhood" joke comment.

  • @Madgreenguy The new pokemon's & pokemon games do kind of get ridicules & all, but you can get use to it. I just don't like that almost nothing has changed that much in the series with the characters, & mean I checked this guys best couples vid, & he says Ash & Misty are a couple (which even I believe they are, even though I like May better). But I do want to see Ash & if not Misty then some other girl hook up. Or hows about Ash grows a mustache, or introduce his father or something!

  • @Madgreenguy No...Just no.

  • @Madgreenguy I used to like pokemon but the newer ones were just god awful to me. I think the biggest thing that needs to die in anime industry is 4-kids.

  • @Majorasword64 I think 4-kids actually did die out. I think it was after they did their small version of One Piece. Their One Piece version was of course, god awful, then Funimation came around to take over and redue the whole bit. I don't know, I just remember reading somewhere that they did die out, I haven't heard much of them lately, maybe some of their stuff is still on cartoon network and other TV channels.

  • @Madgreenguy I'm pretty sure they are still alive due to the pokemon anime.Though that's god awful(changing things VERY poorly.) Though that's about the only thing keeping them alive.

  • @Madgreenguy you talking pokemon that was so great long ago and so enjoyable

or the suck ass pokemon now?

  • @aluckymutt The pokemon a loooong time ago, of course.

  • @Madgreenguy ah

    X3

i wish the pokemon now was as good as the pokemon then.... ;~; they made team rocket serious instead of funny and dimwitted!

  • The problem with what you were saying at 10:00 about not continuing shows when people are interested in them is that when they extend shows that weren't meant to go beyond a certain point that's how shows that were once great decline to something that just sucks. Poke'mon is a perfect example. It was great in the beginning like you said, but it wasn't meant to go past the indigo saga, but since people wanted more, they made more and now you have what is around now.

  • @Saramorix I meant more towards shows that end so abruptly without a proper conclusion like Dirty Pair, Ruin Explorers, Black Blood Brothers, and Hellsing for example. All shows that had good characters and zero conclusions, just abrupt endings with piss poor episode counts when they could have easily continued with plenty of more episodes without running em into the ground. I'm not saying go on forever like Pokemon but come on, 13? its not enough most of the time.

  • Something, even when I was little, that DID annoy me was how the villains could never find Sailor Moon. I mean, who else has that hairstyle? I mean really.

  • @MissRetroPink - it's actually funny that one youma was almost perfect in her analysis of Sailor Moon's attacks and personality and yet not find her alter ego just standing beside her.

  • I understand how the transformation sequences could get annoying, but as a little girl coming home from school seeing Sailor Moon or any of the other scouts transform was my EVERYTHING! I looked forward to it everyday!

  • I find it funny that you mention #3, and then put of a picture of Evangelion, which is probably one of the most confusing anime ever made.

  • I don't think that anyone enjoys seeing stock footage that has been used so much that you know precisely which audio/visual cues to look for to indicate that it's time to push the fast-forward button. But it's a cost-cutting measure, what are you going to do?

I've never thought about filler episodes and aimless plots quite like you've described them. "Oh, I've been trying to make this pot for 50 years! I give up!"

I too would love for shorter series to be extended. But it is what it is.

  • @SocialistCatgirl I agree the shortest series that I've seen that leaves only more questions than answer is Fooly Cooly. In fact, I think that every series (I'm also including video games and manga) whose current existences I am aware of have always left more questions than answers (Prime example: the KH series, and I like these games).

  • @deathshadow2492

Rumiko Takahashi is notorious for leaving her series open-ended, and she's my favorite manga artist/author. But what we DO get is just too wonderful to ignore.

I like it when they leave the ending open to interpretation. That means that the fanbase gets to choose their own answers to the remaining questions. That's GREAT for doujin artists and fanfiction authors, and I'm actually kind of grateful to the artists for that (since I'm both).

  • @SocialistCatgirl ...I guess you're right. But it stills bothers me that a couple of the characters in FLCL (Haruka and Atomsk) tend to have mysterious back-stories that are never properly explained, thus leaving more questions than answers. I must sound like a troll, don't I?

  • @deathshadow2492

No, you'd sound like a troll if you were making an incisive, emotionally provocative, logically devoid argument just to annoy me. As it is, you're just expressing how you feel. There's nothing wrong with that, especially in a forum where the very topic is how you feel about things that are common to anime.

  • @SocialistCatgirl Except the problem with doing that is it leaves everything unanswered and more importantly, unvalidated. I can come up with theories til the cows come home and that doesn't work because then someone else can do the same and that means anyone can do it. Leaving things open can be good sometimes but sometimes, it means anyone can come up with a crazy ass explanation and outside of fan fics, its kinda pointless because only the creator has the final say so and it feels half done

  • @BionicSlime

It isn't that I cannot empathize with what you say. But there are many reasons for an artist to leave questions unanswered. For example, they may be planning to return to the work one day, but are leaving it at a stopping point so they can assume another project. Alternatively the budget may have run out, and so a rush ending had to be assembled (this was the case for "Golden Boy" and "Neon Genesis Evangelion", for example).

  • @SocialistCatgirl Considering how insanely long it has been since an anime like FLCL has been left, I find it highly unlikely its going to be touched upon again anytime soon which isn't the issue. The issue isn't why the creator left it open, the issue is fans coming up with questions or reasons why this and that. Besides, even if the creator wanted to leave it that way, that doesn't make the result automatically good either.

  • @BionicSlime

Well sure, the results of leaving questions open aren't always good. In the best case fans are left feeling unfulfilled. In the worst case eternal flame wars over various interpretations debilitate moderate, rational discussion of the series' elements entirely. God help you if you want to discuss the romantic underpinnings of a series with no clear love interest, for instance.

But fans will always have questions, even if you try to tie every loose end. It's inevitable.

  • AHH! It's Ernest! I haven't seen him in AGES!

  • about 3) there was a recent anime called PSG(Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt) no kiding about the title but its done by Gainax and now its like a year and still waiting for the squel and it is atleast going to get 2nd season. and O.V.A's are kinda sad when you think about it FLCL and BRS.

  • have u watch cyber city odeo 808 ? its great

  • 5) they should do it like in Kamen Rider, fast transformation, then fights start

    4) another things that pokemon has: overused jokes (Team Rocket) and repetitive plot

    3) Tenjo Tenge is one of the worst offenders in this category

    2) Hellsing is a series that the OVA`s are far superior than the original, they are not short (8 45minutes-1 hour long episodes and it i still not over and follows the manga, unlike the original)

  • Don't forget about Inu Yasha being 160 some episodes long. I think that Inu Yasha Final Act is 26 episodes long so add that to the first part, as Final Act finishes the series. At least it ACTUALLY ENDS! FINALLY!

  • now your last complaint i get, but i think its better to let the serise die honorably rather then continue to make it as long as possible bechose then it dems to get ugly. but of course, just stoping is not good ither. elven lied is prime example of this.

  • pokemon was not cool. the manga is awsome. but the anime, is bad, and i am not just talking about the 4kids versio.

  • blood + had the problem with me wanting more i will say 50 episodes were greate

but after the kids spoiler alert are born it leavses you thinking what the hell happened to them

  • 5)Eh they don't stop Sailor Moon from being good

4)And never see them again. BIG LIPPED ALLIGATOR MOMENT!

3)"I'm going to finish the fight"

    2).....Huh?

  • I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!!

Finally; someone who hates these parts of anime -.-"

  • "why the hell arent the bad guys beating the shit out of em during this loonga as transformation" hahahahahaha damn funniest part

  • wow, the way you want things to die...my mind couldnt produce the picture

  • For all of you wondering why the villains don't attack during the transformation sequences, here's the answer. They happen instantly, the sequences are just shown in slow motion. The only exception I can say is a first time transformation in DBZ. Ex.SS Goku on Namek,Super Vegeta vs. imperfect Cell,SS2 Gohan vs. Cell

  • Personally I like the drawn out Transformations. The best ones are in Transformers Energon and Cybertron(The Unicron Saga is technically anime except for the transformers themselves). I must admit My all time favorite ones are in Spider Riders. They don't need to die, but if they're short on time or something they should cut back

  • FREDDY GOT FINGER!!!!!! lolz now that im older...i know what the name means o.o

  • #5- Totally agree!!! :D

  • Sailormoon and digimon have it the worst since their transformations are always the same animation.

(Also in digimon movie 1 the enemy attacked them and stopped their transformation)

  • #3 - I love you.

  • You're Under Arrest has the right idea since it has three seasons... Only o wish there were more...

  • d-d-d-d-digimon! d-d-d-d-digimon!

  • king of the hill was the same, like when dale seem to have finaly figure out the truth the wrighters & the creator deside no lets make him even more stupider, by makeing him think his son is an alien or he has a doughter whitch he never did or that time thay made him think he is native/american whitch he isnt, like wtf now that the series is dead we will never know if he will ever figure out that his son is a basterd child of a jiggalo & a slut, but that show was dead from the start iny ways.

  • Maybe I'm wrong.. But.. Pokemon IS a childrens series. Soooo.. Isn't it only natural that the stories would seem kind of similar? Kids aren't going to understand complicated plots, and they want that happy life revealing moment at the end of each episode. It's teaching them lessons.

  • @ookamichan16 But pokemon grew SO DAMN BORING because of all the helping of people they'll never see again.

  • Pokemon doesn't have long transformation sequences. On the rare occasion that a Pokemon does evolve it doesn't take up a lot of time and it doesn't repeat since Pokemon only evolve into the next form once. They may have another evolution stage but then the evolution looks different as far as shape goes but, again, you don't see Pokemon evolving in the anime a lot.

  • Death note has 37 episodes not long at all =\

  • @loverofpeoplez Actually its around 50 and its longer then average shows length which usually are 26.

  • @BionicSlime i have the DVD's and have seen the series 5 times if you have the other 13 episodes i'd be happy to watch them and your wrong about usual because there are three levels of shows normally there are the 12-24 "short shows" then there are the around 50 "average length" and finally over 100 i call these "Naruto and bleach" if your unwilling to watch things that are over 26 episodes long your missing out, i'd like to take this time to thank you on your great work on JustDubs =-D

  • @loverofpeoplez Then I miscounted but I'm not wrong about "usual length" because you forget what one considers "usual length" is not the same thing. When i got into anime, I barely saw or owned that many anime that went past 26, almost everything I encountered was around that length so naturally, it would see like that was the general episode range. It depends on what series you know better, and for the record, I'm not unwilling to watch anime longer then 26. Hell, I own DBZ, Sailor Moon,

  • @loverofpeoplez and Slayers ALL of which are over 26 episodes. What people consider usual differs on what people are exposed to. If someone watches shows like Bleach. Naruto, or Yu Yu Hakusho that don't seem to end, anime ending after 50 or 39 episodes would seem short by comparison. I own at least 11 anime that go past 26, and I've also constantly kept track with Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece.

  • @BionicSlime Also, I don't think that it's fair to compare Japanese media to American media. With American media, (such as sinfeild like you mentioned), there's little to no constancy between episodes, so a new plot is created at the next episode. However, when it comes to Japanese anime, most of them have a story that starts at episode ones and the same or similar plot goes all the way through to the final episode, so it's harder to keep it interesting.

  • @BionicSlime wtf it is 37 episodes no more no less :O

  • @BionicSlime Death Note is not 50, it's exactly 37 episodes.

  • @SpeakMyMind500 leave pokemon alone little kids and some 15 year old girls still love it is still awesome I like random things ok I am uncool in your book but I still love a good show what needs to die is naruto please don't kill me

  • In the intro...what comedy show was that with Goerge Carlin?

  • Oh and DeathNote isn;t a long series... its like 30 episodes long.

  • Pokemon is still a great show... but only the old episodes. After the 2nd generation, maybe 3rd, it went to shit.

  • Number 4 was sadly in the original FMA for the whole first season and everyone overlooks that. Weird. Im tired and I thought I might point that out. Good video--and junky stuffys! *hits over the head with guitar*

  • 1. There is actually a really good anime that relies upon the "random town helper" concept which would be Samurai Champloo though I'd be surprised if you haven't heard of it considering it was made by Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop fame.

    2. Considering it was pictured I'm going to presume you targeted The End of Evangelion as an ending that didn't explain anything. I'd defend it but there's a character limit and it involves saying that the ambiguity is good.

    3. Death Note isn't a long series. >>

  • in number 3 I'm agree, I hate when they put an open ending or when they doesnt finish the series, but not all anime do that

  • In number 2 Im a little agree, but remember that some anime that are for children, children doesnt care that the episode has nothing to do with the principal story, they only want to watch they characters in action, and sometimes this episodes are good, they can teach you something usefull (sometimes that you need to remember, but yes it can be annoying)

  • pokemon does need to die, it's overrated, and i like the transformations in sailor moon, that's actually what makes the show what it is.

  • its a CHILDENS CARTOON how eles are thay to keep the kids intertanded huh and another thang it give them a myster bases as well as an entertanment base so lay off.

  • @Team72121 Just because its a kids cartoon does not make it above reproach. Everything is analyzable, there's no show or movie or whatever that gets some sort of magical protective "free of all charge" shield that excludes it from social commentary dissection.

  • 5. I agree. Though I can understand why they do it. It kills time and costs a little less to produce. They don't have to draw as many frames to fill the time slot. Sailor moon just got annoying.

    3. on the converse.... series that go on waaaaaaaay too long. After watching episode after episode, you're just ready to get it over with. (IE Sailor Moon. way too many filler episodes. Just kill the badguys already!)

    Onto your next one! :)

  • Long transformations piss me of so much! In DBZ it's just bam and the character is a super saiyan. With Sailor Moon, etc. It's like an entire freaking light show with glitter, etc. and then she's Sailor Moon. Long transformations are probably what piss me of the most.

  • Hell Girl is too short. Same with Red Garden and Ouran High School Host Club. It's a good thing that Hell Girl has 2 other seasons.

  • full metal alchemist hellsing and death note were far too short i need a good sequel

  • full metal alchemist and death note were far too short i need a good sequel

  • Number 3: I totally agree. Its like the ending of Ouran HSHC.

  • all the anime i watch are too short

  • for #5 dbz may not show the exact same transformation over and over again, but alot of the time the transformations take too long

  • 4:33 you know, after hearing that i really want to bit the (stuffing) out of you, and say alot of offensive words, the point of the anime is to promote the game even more, teh anime is based on the game, they need filler episodes cus the game only have 1 villian and 8 gyms, they need to make enough episodes to keep people intrested until the next game is released, sheesh, you should really think about it next time... (im having a hard time not typing terrible words that WILL offend you)

  • Happy Helping is what we call Fillers and yes it annoying especially Pokemon

  • #1 Uta Kata's transformations are different each time and they only take about 3 seconds. It's a shame they don't do that in other Anime.

  • fma not brotherhood of course is a prime example of #3

  • @beyblademazta Um considering I haven;'t seen Brotherhood I can't say it is a prime example, however I'm still not fond of the idea of Brotherhood existing in general.

  • @BionicSlime Full metal alchemist left me wanting more ALOT MORE

  • @BionicSlime It follows the manga, which in all honesty is better.

  • @YourDeathAtAllCost I reserve that until I see it for myself. Authenticity does not guarantee quality.

  • WOULD U LIEK SUM SAWSAGE

  • I agree with you on the transformation so boring

And the Pokemon about it was better near the beginning you right about that.I still watch it time to time it's still OK but the only thing i hate when team rocket doing the same motto over over over and over again my god someone kill me now lol :P

  • @RAJTeunis You can't bother speaking to me constructively or without insulting me for simply making a video, I see no reason why to speak to you in any way, shape, or form about it. Next time think about having some decency instead of posting blatantly rude and insulting remarks devoid of actual criticism and filled with no intention other then to be derogatory.

  • @RAJTeunis Oh yeah, the fact they are kids shows makes them magical immune to criticism. Just because they are kids anime that must mean they are perfectly incapable of ever doing anything wrong.

It's just as pointless to complain about a so called pointless video if it is SO pointless as you put it. I do watch most of those other anime but guess what, just because I watch them doesn't make the problems I mentioned before any less REAL. Just cause its for kids doesn't mean it has no flaws.

  • haha...i used to love pokemon, but after a while i had to stop.....every season, all they do is go to a new "region", ash gets a new girl, and brock somehow ends up with them every time. also, none of the age after over a decade...and why wont brock OPEN HIS EYES?...i also LOVE the beginning. i also dont understand how pikachu should be like level 300 by now, yet he struggles to beat the shittiest trainers when the go somewhere new......i also LOVE the beginning.

  • Prime example of a "Happy Helper" (happy being a very loose term) anime is Case Closed. 14 Seasons and still going folks!

  • What anime is the last picture from?

It reminds me a lot of Gun X Sword... But I know it isn't.

  • okay! -thows a pillow at u-

    =3

  • like the way bleach is ending

  • the problem with continuing an anime is that eventually it runs out of steam and ideas. so then you get left with self parodys of once great characters and usually a weaker plot line as things go on unless they already have the new arcs made up.

  • Are you chewing on a gum while talking or something? Anyway i agree with you about OVA but fortunatly i only watch Inuyasha and that show got it's ending with the Final Act.

  • oi do you like subs or dubs? because based on your rant you mite like detective conan or yu yu hakusho! BTW nice ranting add some more info to it and it well be perfect! i give you a 4 out of 5.

  • One thing

    AHHHH!!!!!!

    HEHEHHEHEEHEHE

    HUNNY WHERE IS MY SOCK?

    DADA DADA DADA

    FUCKER FUCKER FUCKER

    OH OHOHOHOHOH!

    W.T.F production

  • Agreed, when Pokemon began, it was the tops. I dropped from the series when Ash wasn't replaced as the lead in the Orange Islands. I mean, why not have a different hero for each region? The way they were pulling it, and with the show's style, it was inevitable that it'd get repetitive as hell.

As for OVAs..I agree with that annoyance. One that really caught my attention was Natsuki Crisis, and it's only two episodes long. Ends so wide open, you wonder if it was a canceled series or something..

  • I agree with the "leave you wanting more" element. For me the end of Vampire Knight was possibly the WORST ending ever!

  • Dude, I really agree with this rant. Good job.

  • I hate it when a manga is adapted into an anime, but there's not enough funding or enthusiasm to follow through the whole story. Especially when it COULD be put on temporary hiatus/taken up by another company/etc., but they feel the need to wrap it up in a way that manages to fuck up the story just enough that any chance at decent continuation is struck dead. Then, the show is written off as crap by people who don't read/know about the original manga, when the manga kicks metaphorical ass.

  • Number 3 is so true. That is exactly how I felt with the end of Rozen Maiden. Although, it ended so suddenly because the company went bankrupt.

  • OH THEY'RE AN ELEPHANT. no that wouldn't happen. BUT IT WOULD BE AWESOME.

  • You picked on good animes.....

  • Sorry I meant two

  • I totally agree with number 3 such as fma classic, bamboo blade, soul eater. Claymore did not really have that problem but it ended to suddenly.

  • Baccano has no real ending but offers a good explanation. Loved it!

  • love digimon

  • Inuyasha and Naruto have a bad case of problem #2. The newest saga of Pokemon has cut down on this problem quite a bit. The saga based on Gold and Silver was terrible, just terrible. Ruby and Sapphire's arc got a tiny bit better, not much. Diamond and Pearl is...well, actually watchable.

  • I stopped watching the Pokemon anime after the Advanced Battle season.

  • That is what actually draws me to manga and anime, the fact that what happens in the series really does matter, 'cause I (the viewer) know that it will end.

Unlike the state-made shows and comics were events and stories have no real impact in the long run, and eventually everything will be normal again.

I like it when stuff acually happens to characters I like, because I get to see different sides to them.

  • I see your point with ovas. Personally I like them (some are crap) but yeah cutting it short when you get into the series is crap. However legend of the galactic heroes is very good ova, 122 episodes.

    Death notes not that long..

  • I miss the old skool pokemon animation

its like they fired the good animator and hired new random animators that suck either way I rarely watch naruto and one piece and they are good but its to random its like fooly cooly only fooly cooly was short but atleast it has a good ending

  • to sum up number 4:

    fillers should die

  • About the transformations, in the Digimon movie when they are changing into their ultimates the enemy attacks them which I thought was an interesting idea, also in Digimon Tamers the transformations don't take as long as in the first 2.

  • Man i envy u. i wish i had a girlfriend who likes anime.

  • i hate happy helper missions too hence the reason i like team rocket more.

  • Yeah they do that shit too much with Naruto. Sometime like you see a storyline and then you get this random crap with the squad escorting some random guy. And Inuyasha is one he forgot to mention where you spend so much time seeing like 150+ episodes all just to get NO ENDING

  • You are SO correct sir!!!!

  • Dbz was crap, by screaming and having hair growth things and the fluid in glowsticks, you could become more powerful. I remem when goku got to like sage mode or w/e and he was red, with hair bigger than his body

  • that only happens in the anime, in the manga its very short

  • dude its anime...the laws of physics don't apply...=]

  • Comment removed

  • i wish they would still air dbz it was extremly cool

  • i really like this you touched on some really good points keep up the good work mate

  • all i can say is dont watch them if they piss you off instead of boring us all with 10 mins of u ranting

  • If my "ranting" bores you then STOP watching it genius.

  • Exactly Colinlaw91 just contradicted himself. You don't like seeing something then don't watch it. I like seeing reviews and rants about stuff. Especially if its true.

  • @BionicSlime What would an O.V.A. be? From what I heard from you, I think Eureka 7 would be one, if you've ever watched it.

  • @MajorFacepalm12 An OVA means original video anime. It means the anime was put on video rather then on TV in Japan (basically its a direct-to-dvd kinda thing). Most OVA are very short and if an OVA anime becomes popular (Tenchi Muyo for example) then a full length anime series can be ordered though the story will have changes from the OVA (Tenchi Universe for example). The same happened with the anime Ah My Goddess and Master of Mosquiton.

  • For the transformation thing: The only show I actually hate that in is DBZ because it sometimes takes more than one episode for a transformation to finish. When Goku first becomes Super Sayajin 3, it goes into the next episode. It doesn't even finish when the episode ends, even after making us watch it for 5 minutes. For the most part, I agree with you.
