And the British and French let Hitler get away with invading the Rheinland in 1936, the assimilation of Austria in 1938, they provided NO help to the Czechs when Hitler wanted the Sudetenland in 1938, and later took the rest of Czechoslovakia anyway. Not until Hitler wanted Poland did they declare war on him. Except they didn't attack him in 1939 and let Poland defend itself.

The reason Stalin took parts of Poland was to prevent the Germans from having it all to themselves.

The Soviet Union was never an ally of Nazi Germany, they had just signed a non-agression treaty. This meant the USSR could have its way with Finland in 1939. Stalin also hoped the French and British would attack Germany and when either side was exhausted he hoped to seize parts of Eastern Europe.

When France was easily defeated in 1940 Stalin realized he could very well be the next target.

What about Vichy France? German collaborators. All the foreign volunteers in SS divisions??

That was actually the plan of the British and Americans. Having the Germans and Soviets fight each other until the whoever won was so weak they couldn't fight against the western allies.

Harry S. Truman even said that they should support whichever side was losing. This was before the USA entered the war.

Anyway, the reason for the lend lease to the Soviets was to save American lives. The Soviets paid for that with blood and pure gold (NOT for free). The Americans got a good deal.

Apart from that, Luftwaffe also suffered all their critical losses in the west. So on the contrary, Soviet had a much easier time than they would have otherwise. For instance, for every Ju52 Luftwaffe had available to supply Stalingrad, 100 Ju52 had been shot down over Malta. ...And so on in absurdum.
