My fiance' and I have been going to the CMA Fest for five years, and every year, I "HAVE" to go see Johnny and June's gravesite! I don't know what it is...but I'd feel so incomplete if I didn't visit their graves! It always makes my visit to Nashville, TN come "full circle" to show my respects to the both of them!
I went to his grave on the last night I was in nashville and after I had left the bar, it was around 3am and about 5 minutes after I got there the cops came and threatened to arrest me if I didn't leave. They looked all around the cemetery cause they thought I had a shovel or spray paint or soemthing to vandalise his grave with, PLEASE!!!! I didn't drive 800 miles to spray paint my hero's grave!!!
Grrr...!!! Cops use to do the same and worse at Pére Lachaise in Paris where once they didn't let me rest ten minutes in peace on the grass since I was very tired and did hurry me up to continue my visit, but when I went to give my respects to Sony Boy Williamson 2 once to Tutwiler there were no pigs around and I could play some harp with black folks there!
i live in hendersonville and i have taken my family that lives in seattle, washington to where johnny cash is. they said it was emotional for them. i went to his house before. that was amazing
@figget44 thanx for the comment, it reallllly was EMOTIONAL when we visited the whole area there, we went to the house too... wish i could be there again, RIGHT NOW...
Hello Hanzxxxl ! Thank you so much for posting this, I will go there one day now that I know I can, His respect and determination towards his wife, music and fans is an inspiration, I had a tear in my eye when you placed your hand on his grave at the end of the video, I want to do that as well, I really appreciate the level of respect you showed in the graveyard also,The video being B and W really adds to it, I know you really are a true fan, take care Hanzxxxl and thank you again so much !Conor
this is just like Mr Cash was, he is resting in peace on the public graveyard right in the middle of Hendersonville, next to his lovely June... you can visit whenever you like too... i hope they all do with a lot of respect,... thnx Marcjames86 for the comment! HP
i would love to pay my respects to johnny cash and june and i know one day i will, can i ask a question tho, is it busy or alot of people there and can any visit, if you could share some light it would be fantastic
