do yous ever stop and look at the titles of these games? Guitar Hero. what does that say? doesn't sound like an intermediate game thats suppose to be easy for everyone, hence why they made Band Hero and a DIFFICULTY SETTING! Rock Band has more funner DLC, and band play for the family/party game. Guitar Hero is for more of the people that rather grew up with Guitar Hero/like the challenge and good song lists.

I wouldn't say bass notes were added here, but they definitely added rythem (spelling) guitar notes. Rythem guitar is like the background guitar, while the lead guitar usually plays the higher-pitched notes. Rythem guitar plays alot of chords. (Please don't quote me on this!!)

It's like at 2:02 . The three-note chords on guitar hero are played by the rythem guitar, while the single nnotes (the ones that rb AND gh chart) are lead guitar.

I'm pretty sure most of this is right....

@AtheneWon360 Yeah, GH charts rythem notes instead of leadnotes if they find playing lead guitar isn't hard enough. They also chart bass with the rythem guitar notes 60% of the time. With their Breaking Benjamin pack, GH charted the rythem guitar under bass, even though the real bass is pretty fun (if you watch the RB Breaking Benjamin pack, you'll see.)

But I agree, GH is obviously trying to make their games harder (thus more fun most of the time) while RB is trying to be authentic.

i do prefer GH over RB, but i'm also open-minded. i think, at least this case, GH's added notes bring more difficulty, adding a bit more fun, where RB is about accuracy. (even though the notes seem less responsive)

I've noticed rock band tends to be more accurate as shown here, it doesnt do unnecessary chords or switch between parts.

Guitar hero is more about having fun and going crazy (I literally burst out laughing when I played 0:54, I thought it was hilariously awesome)

Its personal taste, rockband is more like playing an actual guitar, but guitar hero (at least in this case) is more fun to play.

To me the rock band chart is way better. The main reason is because it consistantly makes you play lead guitar, instead of switching back and forth between lead and rythm. I will admit once you get it on guitar hero it's really fun to play, but it's so fuckin hard to get it. Personally I will always like rock band better because it's challenging but not fuckin impossible (Buckethead song on Guitar Hero 2!) Also Rock band sounds better.

Rockband, in my opinon, has the better chart. The GH3 chart is overcharted with many unnessecary 3-note chords and it also changes to the rhythm gutiar several times.

They're power chords though. They're basically the same note if you lift your 5th finger off the guitar.  Normally power chords are charted as a 2 note combination also.

I would just like to say this: Guitar Hero is harder because it more closely mimics the tablature of the songs it carries. The Guitar Hero version of 3's & 7's is almost note for note on a real guitar, whereas Rock Band is less so.

Konami created rythm games in general and Guitar Freaks & Drummania in 1999. Harmonix took inspiration from this game to create Guitar Hero. Konami files suit against Red Octane and Harmonix over guitar and drum controllers. Harmonix sues Konami over the Rock Revolution drum controller, which they say copies the new improved Rockband drum kit. Even though Harmonix basically ripped off Konami's stuff to begin with.

To clear things up, at 0:54, both the bass and the rhythm guitar are playing the first 2 beats, and the other beats are all rhythm/lead guitar. Rock Band wins at charting.
