The emotions are personified and expressed so extremely well in that album! Never heard an album that is so able to catch the emotional world of human beings. 01011001 is for me the second album I love to listen to, third is universal migrator (the double cd). Guilt Machine is a high favourite of mine, but no Ayreon album

Jonas Renkse has such an amazing voice. The way he says "Caught in our cold Inertia" is like so hollowed, and captivating. I just love his voice, and his addition in the few Ayreon songs he was in were just brilliant moves. I'm a huge Katatonia fan, and Jonas Renkse knocked the singing right out of the park.

People have a tendency to think of death metal when they hear 'metal', however, there are such things as power metal, progressive metal, opera metal, melodic metal, speed metal... it's a wide variety. To say that you hate all of it tells me that you probably haven't experienced the full spectrum. My favorites are prog-opera blends, like most of Ayreon's stuff is.
