I Remember I was up there one year I didn,t see it happen but a train ran into a boxcar that had a load of peanuts peanuts were everywhere news from channel 45 was there.
I didn,t think you was allowed there anymore i used to do most of my train watching there my favorite spot was the crossing at the store in jamestown.
My Paw-Paw and I love to railfan here. Once we tried getting up here early to catch the Piedmont but we had to stop at Buiscit Ville and we missed him. But we caught an NS Stack Train led by 2 Catfish and he stoped to drop off some autoracks but he only took one with him. They sitted there for a while and we waited for Amtrak 80 when my Paw-Paw said "Here he comes!" lol!! Then the Stack Train took off and 10 mins later we saw a manifest train led by a CSX C40-8W along with an NS Catfish.
Yeah, when 80 came through, P84 was switching right beside him. The GP59 working the yard pulled a cut of intermodal cars up like they were going to get picked up, but I had to leave.
FAST Amtrak!!,pretty cool video i have always wanted to see norfolk southern.

I live near Greensboro, I haven't railfan at the yard yet, I basically railfan at the station waiting to get on the Piedmont.
