  • There are ways to get up and down the southern slopes of Dumyat safely. You really have to known where to go though.

    For non-local viewers, Dumyat drops on the south side about 350m in not much over 500m. It's very steep!

  • zZz - I was on a 24 lb K2 that day - not ideal. However, I have a nice santa cruz bullit with 2010 Fox Fork R36 Float with the Qr20 that I sometimes ride AM or DH. Triple crown forks are next to useless for all mountain because you can't get the tight angle steering.

  • erm yes. Glen was standing right on the edge of one of the big cliffs that you can see from the alva road above BlairLogie. We had to climb back out and then down blairlogie glen - was dark when we got home!!!
