People spending $40 on an air spencer and fake japanese license plates is rice man. I have a buddy that spent $11k creating an itr clone from a DC4. Totally stock LS drivetrain and he called some guy with a wing a ricer. Now stretched tires and almost undriveable suspension setups are the "cool thing". It's all cosmetic man. However, I still like JDM cars.

@DemoFly There is a huge difference in rice and JDM. The JDM scene is essentially what the hotrodding scene was back in the 1950s. You would put a bigger engine in a smaller lighter car or add various things to increase power output. Ricing however is just slapping on cosmetic enhancements in a attempt to mimic JDM tuners. Then there is people who just enhance their cars cosmetically cause they want their cars to look nice. Calling all JDM rice is just ignorant on your part.

The honda scene in general is the equivalent to the hotrod scene of the "1950's". Buying Japan spec drivetrain has been done for decades, theres nothing rice about that. I've spent about $4000 in my lifetime on SOHC ZC's. Current flavor is all cosmetic, cliche-niche brand-humping, rice. Honestly, google "JDM hood rust". Haha.
