Hello, I plan to make a textbook. I see that Authors always thank a lot of people who contribute to the development of the book. Are these people paid? Thank you very much for your help.

@GH123XL It depends on what role the person had in the book - however many of the people that are thanked in a book haven't been paid. You will most likely pay an editor, graphic designer, etc.

ps: when you publish a book for, lets say 10$. does amazon or other websites take part of that money or do you get all that money for yourself?

@Conspiracyknowledge Yes...I really do enjoy helping others! When you publish a book you will get the royalties set up by the company you use. For example, with Createspace I get 40% of the royalties with Amazon. Other companies can be more or less depending on who you use. Thanks! ~Shelley~
