ThiS logo was revealed in like 2007 when I was young I used to collect these magazines. In 2007 i got one and there was something showing logos for toy story 3 and cars 2 and it said ts3 was coming in 2010 and cars 2 was 2011. I have been waiting for these films ever since:D

Wooo! it's finally here. I watched the commentary for toy story 3 and lee urkrich mentioned that cars 2 was coming out next. I have been watching this video and other cars 2 trailers every day just waiting for june 24. I'm Australian and only 13. But i am so excited. i am gonna try and get a job at pixar when i'm older. I was 7 when I saw the fist Cars in theaters. I only liked the racing parts and thought it was boring. A year later, when I was eight, I got it on DVD, and started to get it a little more. I never watched it again. Two years later, I had moved to a little town much like Radiator Springs. I was ten, and I had a much greater understanding for the movie. With this James Bond-ish kind of feel, I'm sure this will be one of Disney/Pixar's greatest productions yet. WOW I used up all the characters.

Cars was fantastic, I don't know what so many dissenters are ranting on about it being a mediocre movie. Really. Great characterisation, great storyline, great graphics, great soundtrack, and a wonderful ethic for children. Cars 2 will also be great, I am sure.

Taking into consideration that Pixar literally puts years of effort into their stories and character development for each and every single one of their movies, the fact that their technology and work force has improved drastically over the years, the two sequels they've ever made have received equal or greater acclaim than their predecessors, and the two most recent movies Pixar has released are arguably two of the greatest movies in existence, who really thinks this will still be a flop? ...Hm?

@tehjonbro I do. The original movie of the two sequels they made was their first film, and arguably their most successful. It makes more sense to expand on a film that was well received than to expand on something that received the least response from audiences and critics (not to mention the weakest story of all the films). I do agree with you that their stories and character development are incomparable, but these strengths are far more prominent in their other works.

Teaser trailers for animated films usually never shown any footage from the actual film. There is more to this film than meets the eye.

TheWordThief, I agree with you completely, but the fact that the first movie got the lowest rating among critics (exceptionally lower) and that this sequel was already planned a little after it was released leads me to believe this is more Disney's doing than Pixars. I would think that just leaving the Cars movie was better and seeing as the direction this sequel is going it doesn't seem as original as Pixar's other movies. Hopefully Pixar proves me wrong and makes another awesome film

Don't freak out y'all, the whole spy theme of the movie is only the secondary plot with Mater. The main plot revolves around Lightning and a race tour that takes place at different tracks around the world

I love every Pixar movie for what they are. Cars and Bug's Life are at the bottom of my list, but I think they're two of the best animated films of all time. And I am going to love Cars 2. Plus, the Cars franchise is witrhout a doubt the most popular of any Pixar film, or Disney film. And you have to respect that
