Yi has a future in the league. I see him becoming a solid player and maybe even all star 2 or 3 times in his career. he is a great second or third option on a stacked team.
yi will be much better than yao in the long run, it takes anyone time to adjust to a different league, different rules and a new format.. except for like jordan LOL. yi is more versatile than yao (im not talking about NBA.. comparing CBA careers). Yi CAN be really great, will he be great is the big question. His olympic efforts were pretty bad, and thats tough for me to say since im a big fan of him. Either way we are proud for china and to represent canto and guangdong!
We all can see that he can dunk, but more importantly he's a very versatile player. He's athletic for a guy his size and has great range on his jumper. He has alot of potential and i can see a future star in him if he continues working hard to improve his game.
Yi did a good job for sure,but think about it...every F dunks...thats...normal...can prove nothing...we shouldnt pay attention on such tiny things....

Everyone predicted him to be the Asian Dirk Nowitzki. It was pretty much becoming true, UNTIL he broke his pinkie attempting a dunk.
After that injury, he went completely downhill.
He was showing promising expectations before that god damned injury though.
