I saw Jimmie and the Flatlanders in lower Manhattan 15 years ago for the first time. My brother took me and I had never seen them before. The first song started with JDG. The first few words made me stop in my tracks. His nasal crooning was something I had never heard before. I quickly realized that I was listening to a masterful singer and have been a fan ever since.

@dressageXoXo I lived in Austin since 1980 and was privileged to see Jimmie, Butch and Joe all over town at many shows. They are so talented as well as the Austin music scene in general. You will never find so many talented singer/songwriters/bands in one concentrated city like they have in Austin.
