In a few more years scientists will have discovered ways to generate alternative energy that is clean, renewable and free. The technology to do this is not far off, and then we will be able to pull electricity right out of thin air. Once this has been accomplished, things like perpetual youth, teleportation devices, time travel, and warp drive will no doubt follow soon afterward. I am therefore confident that I will be around in 10,000 years.
