  • WOW!!! The pedal sounds awsome!!! Mine is on the way and i cant wait!!!

  • hey there, im looking at getting a fender blues deluxe and the triple wreck to play through the clean channel. hoping itll sound just as good as your sound. whats your thouhts on it? thanks!!!

  • @rainy78 These pedals (had a pinnacle for a while too) work the best on a clean amp with a lot of headroom. So a blues deluxe would be great!

  • Just FYI to any of you guys looking for "the drive" I go through them like mad and seriously the Wampler drives are just the best. I love the Ecstasy and I am thinking about getting the 65, one is a 3 mode opamp diode option and the 65 is a JFET real tuby sounding OD. I think they eat Zendrives for lunch and the E is a real Dumble in a box. I do not do the country thing but he has the Paisley for that. For around the $200 range Wampler kills the competition.

  • @DrKarnivore I am working on it, I normally do not play that much high gain and I get the band thing, most guys do not realize all this gain is not so useful at band vol. i just like having them for kicks as I retired from gigging these days and I just mess with my personal sound room and gear. I have a 3 channel amp head that burns tubes but I still love that clean channel high gain fun and the Triple Wreck does it better than anything I have had. Wampler is just plain impressive.

  • Wampler is probably far better than most goofballs who get one. Excellent pedals overdives and high gains. Strat guy question, those who have used strats for heavy metal range across the spectrum. Some that come to mind, Blackmore, Iron Maiden, Malmsteen, a Strat is highy versatile, it is all how you rig it. Secret is not pickups, you use what you like, put a good buffer pedal like a Radial PB1 front of chain and kick the boost for more drive if you need it. You can always put dual rails in it.

  • @CarvinTone I personally love single coils with a lot of gain, mainly the open and edgy sound you get with them more than humbuckers sometimes in the right situation. Not sure what your first statement means though?!

  • @DrKarnivore Not about your playing or personal. I just read sometimes these guys crapping on Wampler, seriously these are all amazing pedals. Some guy likes this 600-800 pedal better, good, I hope he buys two of them. I dig Strats myself I have three models and all sound great, I think by far the best guitar to have because you can rig it to do anything. Wamplers tweak to anything, very versatile pedals. I dig the Triple Wreck I just realized it is 270 not 200 like most the other Wamplers.

  • I now have one of these on its way.

  • im considering buying one of these now too O.o

  • @mean0machine0

If your getting into uber dirt pedals, I reckon you`d be better off with an amp with a brilliant clean channel that takes pedals really well. Like a HRD. The Blackstars cleans are decent, not sure how well they take pedals though.......

  • @DrKarnivore ive played many high gain pedals through a HT-20 at my guitar store and it sounded amazing, its the shops 'go-to' amp for people trying out pedals.

and i love the HT-20's cleans lol

  • @mean0machine0 sure as long as you stay at bedroom level as not wake Mom. It's sound physics not dufus opinion. Look up the why and how of "watts" in sound. Would you expect to see a tiny watt bass amp w a little speaker? How about an audiophile tube power amp for playing vinyl w a 5 watt distorted out result. Size matters, ask your girlfriend.

  • @CarvinTone i have no idea what you just said... and how was it related to anything i posted 6 months ago? lol

  • @DrKarnivore Got a Blackstar this week-takes pedals great.

  • Can it do a more Mesa Mark tone if I dial it in right? Im more of a mark fan than a recto fan.

  • @cowcrusher I think so, with the right amp and cab, I mean, I actually had this setup in the same room as a Mk5 once, and it could get in the same ballpark, if not exactly (with a 4x12 anyway).

  • I play a strat can I get metal tones (metallica/mastodon) out of it

  • @hendrix184 Of course, if the pickups are decent.

  • 3:36 after trying to be cool and demonstrate the boutique "low gain" tonality of the box our wonderful young man surrenders to his inner primal barbaric call and say "Screw this shit, let turn the gain up" and then proceeds to roast the video as our hair flies back from the guitar onslaught of his video.

    Good going lad...

    Nice metal chops too.

  • This guy sounds like Jack Black...

  • @adestickbaby I am Jack Black.

  • @DrKarnivore funny, as they keep saying that about everyone, GMD especially.

  • All high gains are intended for clean channels and tube amps make everything sound better. Tubes are not always about distortion there is a reason audiophiles use super clean tube power amps w vinyl records. My issue is all these little watt amps, sorry just hate them, all are thin and midrangey because they have no watts for decent low end or dynamic clean channel headroom. Half stack any day baby! Watts are NOT about loudness worst mistaken assumption in the stupid guitar player realm.

  • @DrKarnivore

Why? What did you replace it with?

  • @RelaxationII I needed a gigging amp....Blackstar HT60

  • @DrKarnivore How do you like it? I just ordered one. For that matter, how do you like the Triple Wreck? If you've tried the Metal Muff do you find one better than the other?

  • "Screw this shit" ha ha ha legendary

  • @RobChappers Clean tones are for Hank Marvin......

  • @RobChappers Omfg chappers was here!

  • @philipkors I do moderate his forum dude! Staff!

  • I have had mine for months now. I have a plextortion too but I'm finding that I only use the Triple Wreck. It sounds fantastic. I use a Fender type Rivera amp on clean mode and can turn it into a very heavy sounding amp with the push of a pedal.

  • That pedal, made that humble little rig sound HUGE! Great stuff!

  • That sounds killer!

I wish I the sound of your strings/picking was not so loud.

Maybe do a video standing further behind the camera mic.

  • Can you do a demo solely on the vintage side?

So I know what to expect on that feature..:)

  • I`ll see what I can do bud. That side has more "sag", and it`s less tight and bright than the modern setting (like most pedals with a vintage\modern switch). Sounds a bit more wooly and is great for early 90`s alt sounds.

  • @DrKarnivore

Sounds the "channel" that I'd use! I'm getting impatient getting mine. Should be here in 7-10 days.

  • @DrKarnivore

    Demo please!! =D It'll help!

  • @DrKarnivore:

Got my Triple Wreck already! Check my video with it.:)

  • i just got the original triple wreck. im so excited to get it in the mail.

  • @xCYNICOUTCASTx

Have you gotten it? I'm getting mine end of March or 1st week of April. I'm excited!

  • got it. it sounds sooooo good. i still have yet to play it through my ampeg v4, but it sounds good through my crate. i still need to get a 2x12 for my head.

  • Did any of my demo influence you purchase of the TW then?

  • definitely. the first video i saw on it was the tone factor one, and i was extremely interested from that point.

  • Ahh ok. Cheers mate.

  • @DrKarnivore

    Yes.

  • I notice you turned the gain knob all the way up to max to get the metal tones. Is that what it takes to dial in to real brutal metal. What happens when you dial it in at 6?

  • 6 is still highish gain, but think more of an alternative sound, as opposed to brutal. For more brutal tones I would probably use a guitar with EMG`s and detune it a couple of semitones.

  • I'm thinking early metallica thrash master of puppets tone

  • No problem for this pedal at all with the right amp and cab.

  • I got it last week its tough to EQ this thing with a solid state amp. It really shines wth a tube amp i bet to get the most out of its tone. I tried it with a crate gx60 ss and it sound to bassy with the EQ set at the middle on the amp. Had to either increase the treble or lower the bass on the amp to get crunch out of this pedal although i do admit this is the most amp like sounding pedal i ever played. It does sound like a triple rec and has the tube sizzle break up to its sound

  • @DrKarnivore

    How about Dream Theater tones?

  • Not sure mate, never listened to them!

  • also remember hes playing through a 10" speaker. plug this into a 2x12" or bigger, and your windows are going to start shaking...

  • Like I said below, I`ve tried the same amp\pedal through a 4x12 next to a Mesa Mk5 and it sounds close to the lead channel on the Mesa. Is great at high volume and gain unlike a lot of disto pedals.

  • @DrKarnivore

Now that's something to look forward to.

  • Damn you Doc, you have started a gas attack!

  • Lol..........sounds immense through a 4x12, much better than my weeny cab.

  • mine should be arriving any week now. Can't wait!! I really love Wampler pedals and his whole approach to quality pedals.

  • Definately, enjoy!

  • "Screw this shit, lets turn the gain up."

    Lol

    Funny dude

  • You knows it!

  • I just got mine in the mail today. Best dirt pedal I've ever owned or even heard. I've never had one that cleans up so well too. As much gain as I'll ever need, and sounds awesome on pretty much any setting. Cost quite a bit for a pedal, but this one's worth it.

  • Cool, what you running it through mate?

  • Whoa!! that sounds HUGE!!! I might get one too..

  • Definately is mate. Go buy!

  • Damn, that's bad ass!

  • Well I got to have a play around with the TW today and what a pedal it it is!. Wampler has restored my faith in guitar pedals after years of brands promising everything only to fail

  • Nice one bud!

  • Metallica in a box

  • You bet dude. And much more. Noticed you`d ordered one from a post on Burgermans demo.....

  • Yeah but the girlfriend got it on lock down under the xmas tree lol. Ill be throwing it in front of a mesa 5:25 Express hope it sounds as good as your video!!

  • Awesome pedal! Cheers for doing the review mate!

  • Power tones of win!

    Nice review dude :)

  • Nice demo dood! Those controls seem nice and progressive all the way through! Sounds evil >:)

  • Seriously kick-ass dude (and you sound younger than I thought you might!!).

No duty and massive tones = win! :)

  • Going to have to come back to this, gotta put the kid to bed first!

  • lol "screw this shit" haha

  • OMFG that sounds awsome

  • You are telling me Reece. It`s sh1t hot.
