@TF2Fan101 seriously? you are going to go there? This was a bad movie. It was a bad "popcorn movie". And last, but not least, it was a bad Transformers movie. It was way too long (I could re-edit it to under an hour, and you wouldn't miss any of the "plot" or action). And even with Optimus dying/Megatron returning/introducing the Fallen/etc, the movie still focused way too much on Sam. It felt like everything happening to Sam was much more important than the intergalactic battle going on Earth.

@TF2Fan101 Action sequences aren't enjoyable when you feel confused about what is happening, and who or what is involved. A lot of the action sequences were shot with the camera going all over the place as if a hyper-active 8 year old boy was making a film with his action figures. Actually, even that is too much credit, as I believe most 8 year olds could figure out how to hold the camera still and just smash the action figures together. I don't fault the CG at all, just the robot designs.

Transformers in the 80's had actual storyline, history,back storyline, characters that were unique in personalities and even some moral lessons. They were all unique in design and personality and the writters actually cared about character developement. This new Transformers is a hollow shell of action sequences of big robots blowing up stuff. With the technology today real fan's input this could have been so much more.Only thing true in this series is the voice of prime and a few of his lines.

I've heard a good number of times that the plot was drowned out and confusing. I watched it last night and I thought the movie out did the first in every way, the Autobots you spend the most time watching are both very funny, as well as Bumblebee and Optimus, maybe its just me but I wish they spent a bit more time on the orginals from the first movie. Maybe im partial to Ironhide, but all in all the movie was a pretty good fest for anyone wanting a summer blockbuster.

If you didn't see the first one, that's ok. you don't really have to. The sequel is actually better than the first in my opinion. A bit cliche and off beat in terms of humor and plot, but the action makes up for it.

i agree that the first film was better than its sequel.The sequel had moments but otherwise, while long (which doesn't matter too much) had too much material which was handled badly like scorpinox and his sudden split second appearance and the college girl with sam which was arrival and departure all within five minutes. The film lacked good pacing, you lose the effect of a good battle if it's a constant battle throughout--you can't distinguish between phases. The film is great but dissapointing
