I got another uploading problem which said 'your video may have content that is owned or licensed by UMG'. What do I need to do in order to not get this message again? How do I upload my video without getting this message again?
@ronaldodelima12 Just make sure the music or contents isn't copyrighted...youtube is getting stricter on this. Also be careful what you put in the tags. For instance if you put the name of a popular song in your tag or a popular singers name, etc, you will get that message and youtube may keep it from uploading at all.
My Mozilla Firefox crashes at every upload despite of if I use newest uploader or not. The upload bar just raises at 35 to 50% and stucks there. At some point firefox crashes. However on Internet Explorer the bar raises constantly and whole upload goes by without any problem. That is really harmful because I personally prefer Firefox better.
@RocketQueenR if you lost your internet correction you will probably have to start over..it might continue once you get internet back but I don't know.
@TeamKillerMAC Its probably taking that long because its youtube isn't accepting it anyway. It may not be formatted correctly. Are you using windows movie maker?

Has your browser recently updated? Many times that is what causes people who were able to upload to suddenly not be able too. If that is the case you might try using other browser or even use Internet Explorer with no add on's to upload the video then go back to using your regular browser.
@TeamKillerMAC wow...that isn't good. Usually people have success using it. Try cleaning out your cache and do a disk clean up also, then completely shut down your computer...wait a few minutes then start it up again. I know it sounds weird, but sometimes problems can be fixed by cleaning out that old stuff. I just did this to see if it would correct a start up problem I was having with my computer and it worked! Let me know.
@BabiiGee08 Mmm I would suggest you scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on help and type in the problem you are having. Good luck! Wish I could help more but it sounds like either a connection problem or a firewall maybe blocking you from doing this.
All of a sudden mine are taking 1253 minutes to upload and stop before they reach 100%. Even ones that are like three seconds long and have a tiny file size. I never had this problem before T_T
@finnythewise did your browser recently update? That seems to be when people have problems getting their video's to upload. If that is the case you might try using Internet Explorer with no add on's to upload your video...then after its uploaded go back to your normal browser.
@IdiotBoxGuy it should stop when it gets to 100% but then go on to say its processing..or its uploaded. I assume its not doing that? You can click on your account and video's and see if it says why it failed. Sometimes youtube stops video's from finishing their upload if they think there is a copyright violation going on. But usually it says that. .

I would try uploading it again and if it happens again, change your password and make sure you log out when away from your computer...then upload it again and see what happens.
Upload same video in three windows simultaneously. By rotation, a window catches upto current status and then resumes. Rarely, it gets stuck up in all the three. I leave it there and upload completes ultimately. Most instances have no stuck up problem.
@moonglow38 No, that is killing one bird with three stones. One stone ultimately kills. Last night at 1 AM, three windows with same video were stuck up at 86% 7 minutes remaining, 87% 6 minutes remaining, 88% 5 minutes remaining, I began fourth window which began with 47%. I went to bed with computer on. Immediately, I returned to close Opera and OE, leaving Firefox only. Surprisingly, I found upload complete.
When i am uploading a video, on mozzila or google chrome, it gets to some number, like for example 38% and that's when it gets stuck and it stops... sometimes i get a link of the video and when i go to the video, it says that it is still being processed .. but its stays at 38 % forever!!! When i try with IE it just stays at 0%...
@RunningMan997 Ok I would recommend doing a search on youtube (or the net) for help with that program. I am afraid I don't know anything about it. so sorry.

@GamerXZ95 If I were you I would scroll to the bottom of the page and click on help and do a search on your problem. There should be link also to their community page where this problem is probably listed and read through that for advise on what to do. This is a youtube problem not something you are doing wrong.

I already had alot of my artwork on my computer so I just selected those from my picture folder. I think most computers have windows movie maker on them already by the way. My computer is a little older and has windows XP and to find windows movie maker I click on 'all programs' then accessories and its there.

@FerdieFB23 oh I see. Sometimes a video won't even begin to load if its not converted correctly for youtube..didn't realize the page itself wasn't loading at all..that is really strange. I would make sure firefox is current on its upgrade and if it is, you might check your firewall on your antivirus to see if its blocking that page. I am currently using firefox and clicked on upload to see if the page would come up for me and it did.
continued to Ferdie. Your firewall might be blocking youtube's upload page because your computer has to connect with youtube and your firewall might be stopping that as a protection thing. Also check and make sure your security settings aren't too high on windows too.

@CoDandHaloGuy is sony vegas the program you used to make the video on? Just wondering. I use windows movie maker and while it plays on their fine, sometimes my video's don't work correctly once uploaded. You might need to change the format you save it in and see if that helps.
@DJAdd3x are you using windows movie maker? If so make sure you click on 'save movie' and not just 'save project'. You have to safe it as a movie in order for it to be converted so it can be uploaded. Also note if its a copied video from someone else youtube blocks those so they can't be uploaded at all.
@katiepooh101 when is the last time firefox updated for you? I am using firefox and can click on upload and it takes me to the upload page. (unless my wireless decides to mess up then I can't get to any page). Firefox just updated for me I think last week.
@katiepooh101 lol...figures! Well the only other thing I can suggest is using Internet Explorer with no add ons and see if you can upload using it. Once its uploaded though switch back to Firefox so you can see the video...(if it uploads). Using no add ons means you cannot see any video's ..so don't freak out.
@katiepooh101 you don't want to get rid of add on's...then you won't be able to see video's or pictures or anything. That is why I tell people to use IE with no add ons just to upload their video only. Then use their regular browser to see the video's.

@GaMeFrEaKerish look again at the upper right hand corner...there is 'browse'..'movies' ...'upload'. If there is a red X where the upload word should be, you might need to update Java.

@pikakirabygiyweedo That happens to people when their browser updates sometimes. They are uploading ok then suddenly can't. You might need to try uploading using a different browser or do what I suggested and use Internet Explorer with no add on's if you have that on your computer. I don't know what mac has available

@xXsolecrusherXx1 you might need to experiment with saving it in different formats to find the one that works for that video. Sorry its being such a pain for you.
@xXsolecrusherXx1 ok does it look ok when you play it on windows movie maker? It might be the format you are saving it in that is causing the problem..youtube says this. " We accept most video file formats, including .wmv, .mov, .mpg, " I usually save mine as wmv and they work fine.
@huajianzhou ok it sounds like something is keeping it from uploading..you might need to try using the Internet Explorer with no add on's. Also try cleaning out your cache too on the browser you are using..might try that first...then completely shut down your computer then start up and try loading the video on. If that doesn't work then try the IE with no add on's. don't clear your cookies though if you have saved passwords on some sites. The main thing is just clearing the cache.

Thank you for your advice earlier.I disabled realplayer ,and now my youtube videos work fine.However i would like to use realplayer again to download more videos,and i'm not sure what i need to do different to make realplayer work right when i try to download videos.Before i was getting alot of"unable to download messages when using realplayer,and when i was able to play the whole video i could usually sometimes get the video to download.If you can help me,or tell me where to go i'd appreciate.
@sammys70 Gosh I had to get rid of real player years ago because of the kind of problems you are going through. Too bad they still haven't gotten their act together. :( Sounds like its a troubleshooting problem on their end and you will probably have to search for help on their site ...check out their FAQ too. I have a problem when sometimes i'll start watching a video and the timeline bar will slide over a little bit,stop,and then take off again,and then near the middle of the video it will slide all the way over to the end,and when i get to that point when i'm watching the video will stop and will not go any futher.Please help me,or give me some suggestions.I tried to explain this as good as i could.Please help.Thank you.
@sammys70 Scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on help...type in 'Buffering and playback problems ' in the search box. It gives some good suggestions there..try those and see if it helps. Good luck!
@z3r0sk8r100 you just need to save it as a movie. Saving it as a project won't convert it. The option to save it as a movie is on windows movie maker.
I tried to upload my video and it did it (eventually) and the first time it froze and wouldn't play anymore and then I uploaded it a second time and the sound stopped playing after 20 seconds. What am I doing wrong?

all i want to do is upload a video (which i have NO problem with) that doesn't have that stupid (.WMV) format attached to it for example "epic meal time remake.wmv". YouTube says that i need it for some reason and i do use windows movie maker and i tired to delete it but when i click on my videos its just them saying sorry error and no video anyone help ?!?!?!?
@unknownguy235 you shouldn't have to have WMV in the title of course. That has nothing to do with whether its formatted using wmv though. All of my video's are but don't have the wmv in the title. It doesn't make sense that your video would show up but you can't delete it. Sounds like a bug with youtube...wait a bit and see if you can.

@katiepooh101 lol...figures! Well the only other thing I can suggest is using Internet Explorer with no add ons and see if you can upload using it. Once its uploaded though switch back to Firefox so you can see the video...(if it uploads). Using no add ons means you cannot see any video's ..so don't freak out.

@katiepooh101 you don't want to get rid of add on's...then you won't be able to see video's or pictures or anything. That is why I tell people to use IE with no add ons just to upload their video only. Then use their regular browser to see the video's.

@GaMeFrEaKerish look again at the upper right hand corner...there is 'browse'..'movies' ...'upload'. If there is a red X where the upload word should be, you might need to update Java.

umm i know this videos old but i still need help i have safari on mac and ive tried over a million and a half times but my video wont even START the upload. like its stuck on 0% and i tried all my other videos same thing. i think it is my computer THIING IS last time i uploaded a video it was a month ago and it worked just fine but now its not doing anything D: XC

@pikakirabygiyweedo That happens to people when their browser updates sometimes. They are uploading ok then suddenly can't. You might need to try uploading using a different browser or do what I suggested and use Internet Explorer with no add on's if you have that on your computer. I don't know what mac has available

@xXsolecrusherXx1 ok does it look ok when you play it on windows movie maker? It might be the format you are saving it in that is causing the problem..youtube says this. " We accept most video file formats, including .wmv, .mov, .mpg, " I usually save mine as wmv and they work fine.

@huajianzhou ok it sounds like something is keeping it from uploading..you might need to try using the Internet Explorer with no add on's. Also try cleaning out your cache too on the browser you are using..might try that first...then completely shut down your computer then start up and try loading the video on. If that doesn't work then try the IE with no add on's. don't clear your cookies though if you have saved passwords on some sites. The main thing is just clearing the cache.

@firendable When you click on to save the movie it should give you choices as to how to save it...find the MPEG4 and click on that.

Thank you for your advice earlier.I disabled realplayer ,and now my youtube videos work fine.However i would like to use realplayer again to download more videos,and i'm not sure what i need to do different to make realplayer work right when i try to download videos.Before i was getting alot of"unable to download messages when using realplayer,and when i was able to play the whole video i could usually sometimes get the video to download.If you can help me,or tell me where to go i'd appreciate.

@sammys70 Gosh I had to get rid of real player years ago because of the kind of problems you are going through. Too bad they still haven't gotten their act together. :( Sounds like its a troubleshooting problem on their end and you will probably have to search for help on their site ...check out their FAQ too. I wish I could help but like I said, I gave up on them years ago.

I have a problem when sometimes i'll start watching a video and the timeline bar will slide over a little bit,stop,and then take off again,and then near the middle of the video it will slide all the way over to the end,and when i get to that point when i'm watching the video will stop and will not go any futher.Please help me,or give me some suggestions.I tried to explain this as good as i could.Please help.Thank you.

@z3r0sk8r100 you just need to save it as a movie. Saving it as a project won't convert it. The option to save it as a movie is on windows movie maker.

I tried to upload my video and it did it (eventually) and the first time it froze and wouldn't play anymore and then I uploaded it a second time and the sound stopped playing after 20 seconds. What am I doing wrong?

all i want to do is upload a video (which i have NO problem with) that doesn't have that stupid (.WMV) format attached to it for example "epic meal time remake.wmv". YouTube says that i need it for some reason and i do use windows movie maker and i tired to delete it but when i click on my videos its just them saying sorry error and no video anyone help ?!?!?!?

@unknownguy235 you shouldn't have to have WMV in the title of course. That has nothing to do with whether its formatted using wmv though. All of my video's are but don't have the wmv in the title. It doesn't make sense that your video would show up but you can't delete it. Sounds like a bug with youtube...wait a bit and see if you can.
