  • This song is beautiful!

  • its amazin the similarities between janet and marvin.......

  • It's so reliving that she promotes her black heritage. too bad her brother didn't

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • I absolutely love this hidden track. I always wondered what was with the pause after "Special" on the Velvet Rope album now I'm glad I took time to wait until this song came on instead of starting Special all over again

  • @LisaLopes06 I know right. When I first got this album back in 1997 I didn't know if that was the end of the album or if it was still going. Then this song popped up. I love this song!!!

  • What a great song! I love you Janet

  • this has old skool sound in it lk it

  • Lol I love how the wrong song title is on here, this isn't "Free Xone"

  • Damn, this song makes me proud to be a black woman. Born from kings and queens! Tell it Janet!

  • LOVE IT !

  • this sounds like a Marvin Gaye sample... am I wrong?

  • @InvincibleJ Correct. The sample is Inner City Blues.

  • A very positive song! Stay strong people!! We will make it in the end! :)))

  • @Peppamin THE QUEEN OF POP CHANNELED HER INNER MARVIN GAYE FOR THIS TRACK... SHES THE BEST...

  • to me this he Janet's best work ever... the velvet rope was and always will be a masterpiece of the fines music ... especially this song ... she need to make something like the velvet rope again!!!! I love u Janet :)

  • i cnt b stopped from pressin the replay button lmao..this song is juss 2 good man my goodness :D

  • The best song on The Velvet Rope.

  • i really need this today. thanks janet <333

  • This is REAL music folks!

  • This piece speaks to Janet's long ranging experience. If you listen closely, you can hear the electric guitar arrangement from the 70's, a psychedelic accompaniment from the 70's, a bass riff straight out of the 80's, a wind accompaniment from the late 70's and an overlaid melody from the 90's.

I wish she would do more of this kind of composite music that showcases ALL of her experience. She really does set herself apart when she's in this mode.

  • @TigerGrumman amazing breakdownnnnnnnnnnn of the her talent.....

  • this one got slept on..

    i love it!

  • i keep listening to this song ..because im weak right now and i need to hear how powerful i am i know for a fact my blood flows from kings and queens....she did it right for all of us who needed this song

  • This is Tyler Perry's favorite song from Janet:)

  • I loved this CD:)

  • This for the love in you. Let your love flow, we kings and queens on this earth. You strong enough uplift a nation with a single solitary emotion. CONFIDENCE--that strength that only comes from livin'. You got to get out there and live and be free before you can love and share your love--truly to co-habitate with a significant other.

  • @abbienorm2009 beautifully said

  • @shamyte thank you subscribe to that notion of confidence and I subscribe to you. Let be youtube friends.

  • Respond to this video...thank you

  • This song is HAWT!!!!!

  • This song is STRAIGHT FUCKING DIVA!!!!

  • @dancehate iknow right!!!!

  • Love this song Janet was on her Neo-Soul vibe durin this era. 1 of the best albums of the 90's. The MisEducation Of Lauryn Hill, Janet Velvet Rope, Mary J Blige Share My World, Whitney Houston My Love Is Your Love took over '97,'98 definitely!

  • @dancehate Don't forget Baduism (Erykah Badu of course lol)

  • @hellokittycutie2003 Lol Oh yes!!! you are definitely right, Thats another 90s classic!

  • She should have made a video for this song. IM MEAN COME ON PEOPLE WE ALL KNOW THIS SONG IS EPIC!!!! Cause surely this song is Strong Enough.

  • I LOVE YOU JANET ON THE UP &UP

  • This sound like a Marvin Gaye remake. Did she sampled this song from Marvin Gaye?

  • @lpc0615 Yepp she did.

  • @lpc0615 Yeah...Marvin's Make Me Wanna Holler Swagger is definitely relevant in this song and i love it.

i love Janet...i can't wait for her book to come out regarding self esteem and how she was able to overcome alot of issues regarding how she seen and felt about herself.

Her international tour is coming up soon, so be on the look out...Blessings and Happy New Year!

  • @manwomanboogie SHE CHANNELED HER MARVIN..........................THE GREAT JANET JACKSON....THE GREAT MARVIN GAYE........RIP

  • @cvc1814 Most Definitely!!

  • I love that the album was so depressing and then BAM,. this hits ya and it's the most inspiring one of her songs, the impact is huge and it's my positive anthem still till this day....

talk about picking her self up, it's just like her fall from grace at the superbowl and now she's headlining the american idol finale.

    she can't be stopped.

  • Im fan of Michael, but i remember even when i was a littler girl i liked janet. i also remember when i was like 10 i didn know Janet was Michaels sister lol

I never compare them 2 because as Michael once said -me and janet are really 2 diffrent people-
