  • Tempo is a little slow for me, but over all a very nice job. Despite what some of the moron comments. Great job, keep posting.

  • Far out man, you've ruined another classic.

  • Fantastic stuff--are you wearing picks on all 5 fingers? If so, does someone make them for that purpose or do you just mix and match til you get the right fit?

  • hello, mark could you please explain the picking pattern because i cant quite get it down and all of the other videos are completely different. thank you for your time.

    cameron

  • Thanks Mark for... all of us that would rather tune one string down than tune 3... tuning low # down to D is no problem but re-tuning 3 is more than most of us want to or are willing to do : )

  • isnt it 4 and 20 years ago.....

  • really good explanation, love it ^^

crosby stills nash helped me out

a loong time.. great lyrics, great musicians

magic lyrics and a cup of love, freedom&peace,

    a chill everytime..

  • Hi there !! great tutorial ... I noticed the color balance has changed ... also saw something about florescent bulbs. An ambient (150 watt flood reflecting on to a whiteboard and then on to you ought to give the color balance that offsets the blue. Thanks for the lesson !!! got the cords and now working on the 6-2-4-1.

  • Hi Mark, You always been one of my favorire u tuber>>lerned alot from your channel.Great job>.thanks for sharing

  • Hey Mark. like the twist on the years. An excellent performance my friend. I play this ocassionally but never seems to sound this good. Probably one of my favorite CSN songs.

  • Hi Mark, you really did a good job! Greetings from germany

  • I wasn't familiar with this song until now. Must be a lost classic?

  • Hey shelterdogs, I think this was on the first or second CSN album, probably qualifies as a lost classic by now.

  • @ShelterDogs

This is so awful it's not even close. tuning is ddddad or eeeebe. Iv'e played it for years.

  • @crosby777 Oh wow. YouTube is amazing. What other outlet can you get a notice in your email about a comment you posted "2 years ago."

I will say this to you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I'm not sure saying "this is so aweful" is the nicest way to talk about a fellow guitarist. I'm sure you could have stated your indifference to this cover in a nicer way.

  • @ShelterDogs I agree. If you can't say something nice, shut the hell up. In fact it's very close and the original tuning was EEEEBE, however I've heard (and played) it using standard dropped D. It works both ways. Frankly I like this version. Who wants to waste time retuning to some weird open chord when this is so much easier and just as pretty. Your other question, the first time I heard this was on the (brand new at the time) Deja Vu album. If you don't have it, you should get it. It's great.

  • now THATS the way to express your soul....excellent...RIGHT ON FIVE STARS

  • Great! Awesome song.

  • Excellent Mark as always. Great lesson :)

  • awesome wildwoodflower next please

  • great rendition here sir!! love the sound.

    Paul

  • Hi Paul, thanks, that Guild has a great sound to it, especially with the fingerpicks.

  • Great job, what kind of guitar is that, it looks like my Takamine!

  • Guild F-50 jumbo 1979.

  • Great to see you back in action Mark! 5 stars!

  • Still very BLUE. -- White balance up the creek?

  • I think it is those new flourescent bulbs I got.

  • Well, there is the blue shirt. The camera should see too much blue & compensate, but it does not. You have a really nice blue tinge to the hair as well. Quite a shock seeing so much blue. Must be the camera a bit up the creek.

  • wonderful better than Stills too

  • Wow, nice to hear that beachboysguy1.

  • YOu was not just brought up to us music, you brought to us peaceful moments and compassion, can I do something for you GoldHat?

  • How old where you when you started playing the guitar?
