  • haha, great playing im well jelouse dude!!

Can afford a nocaster but my baja does me pretty well, got to be the best value fender guitar of them all!!

  • Nice playing. My custom shop relic Nocaster sounds more closed than yours and not as bright, but I still love it.

  • Farout!!!

  • ok...i'm going to sound like a little kid when i say cuz i'm new to guitars, but what is the difference between a telecaster and a nocaster? a reply would be cool. thanks.

  • ok... originally the telecaster was called a broadcaster, but gretsch sued because they were already using that name, so fender had to change while they were coming up with something they produced 'nocasters'. they were called that because the headstock only said fender and nothing else. also the pickups on nocasters are pretty hot

  • thanks

  • The wiring was different as well. There was no tone control on them. Instead you had a "blend" control which allowed you to blend the sound of the neck pickup with the bridge pickup when in the rear position.

  • Great playing. How do you like your Nocaster? I'm shopping for an electric!

  • I really enjoy the guitar. Yes, you could probably assemble something very similar from Musikraft or the like, but it still wouldn't be the same. It has a low output pickups, a gigantic neck, no tone control, and somehow you still think "wow" every time you pick it up.

  • Sounds great :D

  • Are all of the necks on the nocastr huge?

  • Yes, they are MONSTER huge. However, I really enjoy the size now.

  • i meant picking, or course

  • Never thought about it the other way until you mentioned it, lol.

  • kudos for playing with your fingers.

  • Dude, a very cool guitar. You get a nice twangy tone with some good overdrive. What amp are you using?

  • Like I'd tell you that trade secret. J/K. It's a kit I put together from Marsh Amps. Search it on Google, it'll be the first hit. It's the 5F2 Princeton w/ the Weber Vintage, Mercury Magnetics, and lacquered cab upgrades. I swapped the rectifier tube for a 5V4 or 5AR. I'd have to go look to know for sure.

  • Got some of that nice drive goin' on there. Jeez, I buy an Esquire, you go off and buy a Custom Shop Nocaster! Then again your probably bringing in a hell of a lot more money than I am noodling once a month! Soon enough I'll get an American Tele. Have fun with it, it looks and sounds nice man.

  • Things got outta hand! I was gonna wire a Tele with a 4-way so it would add the Esquire bass position. I couldn't figure it, gave up, and told myself I would buy a Hwy 1 and turn it into an Esquire. Then I had some things in my life bumming me out, so I said the hell with it, went whole hog and got a Nocaster. Right after I ordered it, I sketched out the wiring I was after all along, d'oh! I'm not touching this guitar though, it's too awesome. I've been working overtime to pay for this!

  • Good for you man.

  • Always someone getting better gear than you isn't there? LOL I know the feeling.

  • great video!
