  • This creeped me out. Watched this the night before I had 1...tried to escape

  • this is awesome!!!! stuff like this is so exhilarating and awesome. i'd love to be a surgeon, however, neurosurgery is the most intriguing to me

  • ahhh, sorry docs, tell me how do you get used to se ppl opened up like that please

  • WELL. HUMAN are not that much intelligent. THIS is nothing. They must be have a Brain Transplant. FOR ALL HUMAN KIND, TO BE IMORTAL.

  • @FlipYourSelfxD your a dumbass retard that can't spell

  • @FlipYourSelfxD if humans arent intelligent. then define intelligent and give me an example of something intelligent by your definition.

  • it really amazing how far the human intelligence went who could of thought that you can take an organ from someone and transplant it to another person like 200 years ago people would say that youre crazy

  • I'll never be a doctor....... I feel like throwing up now.....

  • nasty ouch

  • On September 1, 2011 it will be the 5 year reunion of my Grandmother's lung transplant, and she is doing fabulous at 71 years old now! Just a few months back, the transplant surgeon told her that she can go on and enjoy her life however she wants because she is not going to reject the lung now! What a miracle!! I am so thankful for the donor, his family, and the surgeons! Be an Organ Donor!

  • i got a question how does the patient survive during a lung transplant and does that mean you would no longer have lung cancer if you got a transplant

  • @Thedisgustingbeauty lung transplantation was indeed done to prevent proliferation/ metastasis of cancerous cells. What's shocking to me is the fact that this kind of surgical transplant is indeed existing.

  • My uncle is having this op in september :/

  • @sylontuk hope he makes it through okay!

  • My friend Dre got the call last night! He is currently undergoing a double lung transplant! Please keep him in your thoughts! <3

  • This is intresting to me as I am on the Active Lung transplant list and awaiting the Doctors call to say " we have a match , come to get your new lungs". I have been waiting on the list for 3 months now. I can not wait to have a new set of Lungs as I will have a better quality of life and spend, well hope to have many more Happy years with my wife and 2 yr old son xx

  • i want to see my internal body parts too!!! :)

  • OMG horrible, I can't watch this longer than a few seconds oO

  • Doctors are so very brave.

  • how did u get pass the ribs?

  • @J6Snipe they break them

  • MY isster just had this done a week ago, shes doing fine. Thanks to the doner and the doctors.

  • Is that Justin Bieber? Did he die?

  • I'm not interested in becoming a thoracic surgeon but this is pretty cool. I'm gonna go watch a knee replacement now...ORTHO FOREVER!

  • People, the dude named EctomorphicBuilder died during the lung transplant procedure he was talking about having.cuz his account is closed haha

  • This is gonna happen to me. Oh lord, save me.

  • @SkateEPT When i take a deep breath its not enough, no astma medication works, no breathing device helps. So... I'ma need the doctors to slice open my chest, rip my lungs out and connect them with new ones. =o

  • @EctomorphicBuilder DAMN That sucks bro good luck

  • dam how many packs of cigarette have this guy gone through?

  • was she preg-go

  • why the hell did i watch this..... im gonna be sick

  • wow"

its amazing how you can "cut" A perosn open and they are still gonna come out alive!

  • Very interesting. My sister is on the lung transplant list. This stuff is really amazing to see!

  • Shit. They really got in there,

  • Fascinating and brilliant !

  • there so casual!

  • wow, I was just watching bunch of transplant vids.... Is there anything they can't transplant? except brain

  • @ccrpalex

the eyes, the stomach, and other junk stuff.

  • @ccrpalex the brain is the hardest to trasplant but not impossible. If you can keep it breathing and working with out damaging its systems of nervs and sensors then yes. but it has to be done in a clean room. the single biggest hurdle is the donor body. once a body is dead its hard to keep it living with out its computer. that's if the nervous system in the donor body is compatible.

  • but for 10 or 20 seconds the heart doesn't get oxygen. Why does he can not die?

Sry for bad english, i am on basics

  • @hardyextrem23 because the person is connected to an artificial respiratory machine that helps the heart get oxygen.... thats what i understood in my biology class XD

  • @hardyextrem23 the person is on the ventilation machine from the begninng of the surgery, so there is no delay between the lung being 'switched off' and the ventilation machine turning on.

  • @greendegenerationx if its a double lung transplant they usually pull both lungs at once and u r put on a pulmonary-heart bypass machine so ur not breathing nor is ur heart beating.I should know Im a patient with CF

  • @hardyextrem23 becuz if its a single lung transplant the other lung is still working plus u are on life support & u get oxygen thru that.if its a double lung they r doing they pull both lungs at once,u r put on a heart-lung bypass machine which techinicall ur dead.it cools ur core body temperature down, pulls the blood from ur body re-oxygenates it and pumps it back thru ur body in a continuous cycle but u cant b on tht machine very long so its crucial that they get the new lungs in

  • is that the heart pumping or is it just my imagination?

  • wtf i can hardly understand wtf is going on i mean i cant even tell what is what lol

  • @TheLilgangster3 well then go study the human body again or pull up a chart that has the organs it will help.

  • @TheLilgangster3 that pulsing thing is the heart the part that is being closed together is the lung tubes. The hard parts on the side is the rib cage the other pulsing thing is the diaphram. i study this alot.

  • its amazing how these things can be done, the anatomy and skill to perform such a hard task.

  • ah well it seems worse then it is, I had a heart transplant 3 years ago and I've to say a month after it sucks but then the pain goes away and u pick up your old life.

  • Such a mess, it's amazing how surgeons navigate and work at it.

  • ohh fuck

  • survival of the fittest

  • i just turned 25 a week ago

  • i just turned 25 today

  • BECAFEFUL WITH THE FRICKIN HEART!

  • yeah KDAlove you don't just make upwards of 450-750 grand easily, you gotta do some hard shit like this

  • well i have cystic fibrosis and the dr told me i need a transplant so i guess i weight out the pro and cons :(

  • @chaoticXdisaster how old r u?

  • This makes a good 'Quit Smoking' now commercial!

  • i need double lung transplant because i have pulmanory occlusive desiese. wish i didnt watch this now :(

  • Best of luck to you. Trust your surgeon, they have faith in you. I couldnt imagine needing anything like this, but unfortunately people do. Fortuntely. enough people do so that surgeons get enough experience with it to do it properly and efficiently.

  • How do surgeons do this?! I would totally pass out just by picking up the knife if I had to cute someone open x_x

  • the thoracic cage is wide open, there r so many blood vessels and NERVES, r these important structures cut or avoided?

  • Not for me

  • No1 will ever get me on that table

  • Even more amazing is how calm those surgeons appear to be. I would never be able to do something like that.... you could see the beating heart even

  • Super complex omg lol

  • man i thought this would be similar to working on a car but this is way harder haha dam good job docs

  • how can they do it

    doctors are awesome

  • thank you

  • great job

  • the heart surgery i watched was more awesome

  • human, obviously... dumb ass

  • LOL

  • it's not nice to laugh at situations like this, try having some1 u know in this situation then we'll c if its FUNNY!

  • i totally agreed with you, this is not funny at all

is a very complicated surgery, that can safe many lives, speccialy those who couldn,t survive without the lung transplant, like people with cystic fibrosis...and others...

  • its amazing how the person is still alive while they are doing this. They are starting to do a better job every day with surgery. Go doctors! eventually they would be able to make a lung in the lab or something that would be amazing. Just switch organs when you got old ones :P

  • @chriszac101 i know people need to understand..the reason why i am watching this is because my good friends dad is getting a double lung transplant right now and i wanted to see how the surgery goes...its not a good situation for anyone to be in

  • @chriszac101 your this stuff is quite amazing though

  • asshole

  • oi this aint funny

  • yeah dude whats wrong with you asking human or animal on every surgery video i watched ?

  • When i look at the heart he or she was scared and in pain because i heard the heart reader and how fast the heart was moving

  • really??

but you know it all looks like chunks of meat

i dont even know how they distinguish which is which

    amazing talent...

  • It is easy ok at the start they cut if there is bone that is the rib cage and behind the rib cage there is the heart .

  • maybe massive blood was lost in the surgery. Is it possible to feel pain while slept?

  • Wow. That's one cool fact I learned today.

  • I don't know why you've been low ranked. That is a valid theory.
