The contrast shows the depths of band's talent. You cant compare one version to another anymore than you can compare cabbage to lettuce... Sure they are both the same song but they were mixed for different purposes.
I like the band, but at the live show i've been to they just needed a better sound person. (Sorry to whoever you are, but when an instrument drowns out the lead singer for the song, you have to adjust).
This is gorgeous. xD Love the contrast between the versions. With the studio/album version, you're more focused on the beat and the music and this one I'm paying way more attention to the lyrics.
I really love this version. Maybe even better than the studio-recorded one..that, or I've just over played the studio-recorded one lol. But in all seriousness, I love this one so much because you get to feel the frailty of the band's emotions in this. Cannot get enough. They are excellent live too!! :P
The thing is, its a different version. DIFFERENT. not better, not worse, but different. @fletchdies, i completely agree. It's just another way to play the song and its really cool that they can totally change the mood of the song and it still sounds awesome.
Wow, I cant get over how many are whining about this version. This is just simply showing off their range and talent to tone down a jam of a song. A seriously different litter of cats but they are so damn unique!
THAT LADY...HER QUIETNESS...AND SUBTLENESS...SHE BROUGHT THAT INTO THIS AWESOME LOUD SONG?! WHAT DA HELL MAN...I LOVE DIS SONG LOUD! ITS LIEK DONKEY KONG XD
But it's fine. This "baby guitar gun" version was okay(quote from kemushichan xD)
The song is MADE by it's amazing beating of the drum, this version is usable, but on a scale where amazing and not amazing are the extreme points, the version with the energy to it and the great feeling of "hell yeah" sits at about a 9, while this version sits at about a 2. Right above Kenny G @ 1....
wow drums are so dificult.....

cool version, just a bit of an anti-climax. would've expected them to tune it up a bit towards the end.
now it doesn't feel "finished"

I absolutely love this version. It'd be pretty cool if they came out with single just for this version. I give it a thumbs up. :D

Of course we all like the album version better,
but it is nice to know they are versatile when they need to be!
