  • Wow...congratulations! I've been plagued by obesity for quite some time. I want to start eating raw, not just for myself, but for my family as well. Thank you for giving me an extra boost of confidence and information. I wish you all the best!

  • your skin is really nice and smooth:)

  • Thank you this is very encouraging and great tips that i will follow : )

  • Awesome! I am on day 8 of juicing and eating raw! Watching your video has encouraged me! I was going to weight my self tomorrow, but watching your video has made me wait! I will wait till my first month is up! Thanks!

  • just play a online game and eat saimin and fruit for a couple months, you'll lose a lot of weight, your not going to get any mussel though, so thats just to get "skinny"

  • Very inspirational. I think I'll try going RAW.

  • question.. do you actually "look" like you've lost that 14? or was it just water weight? i just started RAW and in one week i lost about 10!! i feel better and think i look a little trimmer around the waist. like the bloating appearance has gone down some. probably just water weight, but still, will RAW help me shed fat and lose sizes? i've lost 90 pounds on my own so far, just by eating better and working out everyday. but i like raw better than just eating right. makes me feel even better!

  • I recently lost 8 pounds in four days. After years of eating the SAD we store a lot of extra fluid on our bodies. But to answer your question, yes. I could feel the difference. I was able to wear clothes that were a smaller size and my present clothes were very baggy on me.

The Raw food diet will enable you to lose weight and shed fat. Your cells are able to cleanse themselves and stored fat will be released. Give it a try. There is a lot of proof throughout the net.

  • Yeah first of all, respect to you and really informative vids!! I´ve got a question, cause im do daily training 6 days a week

(swimming,Karate) how does the raw food diet influence my routine? Looking forward to your answer and keep it up!!

    ;) Nice greets, Bradly

  • Raw foods will provide you with a clean source of energy by consuming natural carbohydrates. You may want to look into spirulina which is a plant in the green foods family that will provide you with an excellent source of protein. You'll also want to add seeds and nuts to your diet for an excellent source of fats and protein. You will have to see what works for your body and adjust your food levels accordingly.

  • You should try sprouting nuts and seeds, amazing effect on increasing health values. Alfalfa is also amazing when sprouted. You can even sprout grains. :) Increases nutrition values by 400-600% at least. :)

  • Congratulations Sister! You are on a path to true Enlightenment. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thank you!

  • i,m living in jamaica and a diabetic i year now.how do i get started on the raw food diet

  • I will send you a message. I need a bit of room to answer your question.

  • Haha, did you subtract 5 pounds for the camera? But seriously, 14 pounds in a month is incredible! And you're right, it does sound like a lot...but you're getting all the nutrients and vitamins that your body needs. I hope I can be as successful as you, but even a single pound of fat would be fantastic. That's just one less pound I'd have to lug around or have to stuff into jeans! ;o)

  • awesome! i'm slowly going raw, and on monday i go completely raw :D your a true insp. ! thank you

  • Thank you! Glad to hear you're making the change. Take your time and allow yourself to reach your goal!

  • Read The Gabriel Method. It works. Your body must WANT to be thin.

  • Generous of you to share your journey & congratulations on finding a food lifestyle that you're passionate about. I say as a society we're brainwashed to think fast weight loss is always bad. It depends. As you remind us, raw foods + detoxing is not a bad thing [w/o contraindications]. I have a Playlist of Karyn Calabrese (by Lilou). In part 3 she shows before & after photos of a woman showing the difference after only 8 months of raw foods/detoxing - it's astounding & inspiring.

  • I agree. I love Karen Calabrese & Lilou. I'll have to stop by your page and check them out. Thanks for taking the time comment and share.

  • I really like your videos.I am going to start eating raw today. Thanks for your inspiration.

  • You are welcome and I'm glad you've decided to make the change!

  • I have that same scale. It drives me nuts though. Im proud of you!

  • Thank you so much!

  • I admire you for doing this, kep going!

  • Thank you!

  • speaking of fluids. I keep hearing different amounts of water people are supposed to consume each day. I am so confused. I got this book recently written by a doctor that says you should take your weight, divide it by 2 and that is how many ounces you should drink a day. so say your 300Ib's than you should drink 150 oz. a day..which....IS A LOT. you u have any idea if that is true or not? how much water do u drink a day?

  • Too much water can cause you to have an electrolyte imbalance. Your body triggers you to drink when it needs water. It's called being thirsty. I still say 8 cups a day is reasonable. In the summer months we tend to drink more water due to fluid loss. We also get fluid from out foods. When you're on the raw food diet, you'll get fluids from the fruits you eat along with fruit smoothies. When we're in tune with our bodies, we know when it needs water.

  • just a side note. You are right about drinking too much water causing an electrolyte imbalance. The thirsty feeling is a sign of dehydration. If you already feeling thirst, then you have not consumed enough water. the thirst sensation is also often mistaken for hunger. food has water in it as well. so when saying you should take your body weight and divide in half this is also taking into account the water that is in the foods we eat. ok iam done rambling

  • congrats

  • Thank you!

  • 14 pounds in a month!

    amazing!

    very inspirational!

  • Yes, It was an amazing feeling. Thanks for commenting!

  • You're so positive. I love it! Congrats on your weight loss. You're definitely an encouragement for those of us who are new to the raw vegan lifestyle.

  • Thank you. You'd think I'd been at it for years (lol). I'm just passionate about helping others succeed.

  • Congrat on you new life style. You are doing so good. I hope I will get there again some day. It is very hard and costly for me at this time.

  • Thank you. I know it can be somewhat of an economic challenge. I still don't get all of the items that I need on a weekly basis. Buying in bulk is the way to go. However, any change that you can make is great!

  • that is soooo wierd....I started at 300lbs and as of today (Feb 1 2009) I'm 278 as well

  • Ooh, let's see who gets down to 200 lbs first! Haha.

    CONGRATULATIONS <B

  • Congratulations. Great job!

  • Thanks Rhonda! Have you started yet? C'mon, let's do it.

  • That's wonderful, Cynthia! Thanks for the encouragement. I ate about 80% raw for 3 days last week for the first time. I felt so well and calm. Cooking the SAD for my family adds to the challenge, but they are eating raw sides and not staring at my food strangely anymore (smile).

  • Glad to hear it! I am so happy that I can encourage others. I know how it is making dinner for the rest of the family. I'm still doing that as well, but they're eating a little healthier as well. I just want them to stop drinking milk and consuming white products. I'll have to work on that and make some healthier alternatives. Hang in there!

  • congrats

  • Kenny,

    Thanks man!

  • yeaaaa, Cynthia!

    Congrats!

ok, confession time. haven't been able to get started yet. don't know which one is holding me back - head or body - but the will is not there. after i took a diet break for christmas, I haven't been able to get started again. wish i'd never stopped:-(

    but, so proud of you!

    vee

  • Hey Vee,

Don't even sweat it. Just as you were ready before, you will be again. Pretty soon that cooked and dead food is going to make you feel yucky, and when that happens, you're going to want what's best for your body. Keep your heart's fire burning and your true spirit flowin!

    TTYL - Cynthia

  • congrats!! i am starting 100% raw again tomorrow and i am not planning to get on the scale for a month.

regardless of the amount of weight being lost per week or month, you are right this is a lifestyle change. i just feel so good when eating raw. it is also one of the only times i feel motivated to workout. so much energy.

  • Tamana,

Thank you. Yea, you're going 100%. I am so glad to hear it. It is amazing how different your body feels when you eat raw instead of cooked. Truly amazing!

  • Your skin is glowing!

  • I wish I could say it's the raw foods, but honey, it's just oily skin. Its funny, it looks good on some people, but I hate it. It does look my skin is glowing. I've had it since puberty. Hopefully raw foods will clear that problem right up, but thanks for the compliment. I'll take it!

  • congrats on the weight loss, you are doing great!!!

  • Thank you and I feel Great!

  • Congrats!!!! That is awesome. I am starting my raw food diet on Monday. I find your videos helpful, informative, and inspirational.

  • Thank you so much for the nice comments. I am sure you'll be successful starting on Monday. If there is anything I can do to help, just let me know.
