Thanks Vic. Since I started working on finger-style I have discovered so many great players that inspire me. Adam is a great arranger. Never a wasted note. Great phrasing. Give your ears a treat and check out his arrangement of "Summertime". The guitar is now an entirely different instrument to me. Life is good! I took a master class with Laurence Juber a few weeks ago in California. Another amazing player. Check out his arrangement of the Beatles "Rain".

This is such a gorgeous song and you're really doing good things to it. I've been messing with "One Hand One Heart" and it is so nice as it is I just can't bear to improvise over it. Kind of like Naima in that way.

Hey Allen Youy did a fine job of playing Adam Raffertys of Somewhere I see our musical tastes rour much alike/ I just love this guys playing. Beleive me he is a master in most musical styles has great tase and time and all his arrangements are spectagular His atrrangement of this tune is a great teaching piece and it demonstrates the concepts of the result of great voice leading, EXPERIMENTATION thinking out of the box and respect for the composer Howard

I have transcribed three of his arrangements. I am now working on his incredible arrangement of "Summertime". It has a great 6/8 groove with a cool bass line. I am fairly new to finger style. Your books and videos and listening to players like Adam are excellent teaching tools. The hardest part for me is not finding his notes/voicings but rather notating his expressive playing(even in standard notation).

Thank you Adam for the inspiration!!! When I transcibed this, the notes and voicings were not difficult to find. However, notating your dynamics and phrasing was a bitch (even in standard notation!). You give each note time to breath. Sometimes the best notes are the ones we never played :-). This is just one of your MANY world class arrangements.

Thanks Uli! This is one of my favorite songs of all time. (I have uploaded two different arrangements of this song). I like the use of open strings when possible. I am still trying to get my right hand fingers to create the proper timbre for notes. For me that was the hardest part of learning this arrangement.

Thanks man. Adam is a master of dynamics. He makes it all look so easy. When I watch his videos and he makes his "guitar face" I know something special is about to happen :-) The second chord in the second verse Am9(#5)/B was unexpected. Quite clever. He augments the 5th in several places in this arrangement. The more I played that chord in this context the more I liked it. I usually change harmony in arrangements but in this case I could not improve on anything.

Some years ago I read a book by Joan Peyser:"Leonard Bernstein, the biography of a music genius". Very interessting. His compositions and his work as educator and conductor is a milestone in music history.

I listened to some versions sung by different singers, then I came back to your version (Adam´s version): very nice indeed, cause it focusses the guitar as solo instrument for an piece of symphonic orchestra arrangement. Good job, Allen!

I love the way this one piece demonstrates the nuance and different timbers of that nice instrument.
