  • This is my absolute favorite song. Exactly this is real music

  • "Real music" haha every generation has always looked down on the music that comes a couple generations after. This is because change is not accept easily.

  • @CjsWorld7

You're so right! This is real music when its lived up to so many years and it never gets old. Gotta love it :) sucks how we don't have that many heart warming songs anymore that stay in your heart and leave a soft spot forever :)

  • You know a song is good when it doesn't get old after a week. And in this case it's an amazing song that's lived up to for years and never gotten old. I love this song :)

  • thats true

  • man...gotta love youtube. love the fact that we can go back and see all of these performances ^.^

  • The crowd has been hypnotized to clap in unison.

  • I was born in 89, and I'e got to say: this is real music. Just love this song from the first time on when I heard it on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air :)

  • Omg I was looking for this song and idk who the artist was so I went to a group called mindless behavior..god damn it doesnt deserve to even exist

  • Compares his girl to sunshine on a cloudy day, not as a motherf***kin' whore, bitch as todays singers would........

  • See this is true music. Not all that. - gangsta Imma rappa

  • GREAAAATTTT...yeaaahhh!!!!

  • I wish i was born in this time. I love this music. Dumb music of 2012.

  • saw The Temptations live a few weeks back.. astounded. i was working the Left stage security for their concert. Otis Williams, you are a true legend. sweetest man ever. Keep up the great work. You chose the right people to keep your group alive.

  • This was wen music was really MUSIC I wish I was born in this time

  • Me and 2 of my friends are singing the version arranged by Roger Emerson for our middle school's talent show :D

  • Suju big bang k pop or what the fuck boyband...... look at this video

  • growing up listening to the temptations and watching their old live concerts how simple and real it is makes me feel like, we today don't kniw what real music is. we have to have to much flash and the production cost and music video cost have gone up, music quality has gone down...it's sad.

  • I like all the little kids putting their ages. They're trying to tell us older folks they're not as clueless as we sometimes assume, and that not all of them fall for the shlock that passes for popular music today. that gives me hope!

  • Wow

  • just...wow

  • Don't compare Mindless Behavior to this. Just don't do it.

  • I just love how they performed and it sounds the same as it did in the studio. No lip synching or anything. That is great to see :-)

  • I like this song.

  • Man David Ruffin Was A Wilt The Stilt Tall Muhsukkah lol! RIP

  • It's like mindless behavior in the 60's :)

  • i had a toy singin this song :D

  • I saw them every time they came to town and they put on a fantastic show. Concerts were affordable then.

  • Man this was when music was real and had true substance. These are the true Temptations. Back when everything was more simple. And about 20 years before I was born! lol. But yes, David Ruffin I swear always had the most beautiful voice! I dont care about the haters who hate him cuz of his ego, notice they never dock him on his voice or talent or showmanship. That's right, cuz Eddie was Style, Paul was the heart and Soul, Otis was the biz, Mel was the modesty, and Dave was the voice!

  • Great Song .

  • @Threxx1 Yes...

  • legal

  • ... until Cocaine killed his ass.... :-/

  • @J0eMacint0sh You mean David Ruffin right?

  • i remember hearing this song after watching the My Girl movie haha. i was like 5

  • The Temps are without a doubt in the top five of ALL musical groups ever. Their music influenced people of all ages, cultures, races and musical tastes. Nobody will ever come close to their songs or stage presence. I thank God I lived in the same age as these wonderful musicians!

  • The viewers age matters ALOT..the youth of America nowadays is listening to to 100 % GARBAGE..no melodies, no meaningful lyrics, and NO structured music..and once Americas youth recognize that, music may once again return to a good style, and entertainers will stop dressing like they crawled out of a sewer, and stop grabbing their crotches as they sing to total SHIT.

  • @Zathras01 We all have different opinions, no need to trash modern music.

Modern music has melodies and meaningful lyrics. So please dont trash any music. (:

  • @Vladimir0Tod Theres not to many meaningful lyric songs out there anymore. I'm not saying theres none, but you'd have to look hard.

  • I don't get why people keep putting their age? "I'm 17.." "I'm 13.." Like no one cares. Doesn't matter what age you are. Just enjoy the music.

  • @guanaba1234 Im 17 now, and i find it bad that the quality is not good.

  • @guanaba1234 They state their ages because it is not common for the younger generation to appreciate real music. Peace and love .

  • @guanaba1234 I like seeing people's ages....I'm glad young people are listening to the old classics instead of the garbage that's out there today. It lets everyone know that it's not just us old people that enjoy talent and good music.

  • @guanaba1234 dude why are you complaining about them they aren't annoying in the least. just shut up. you do realize by complaining about them you're the one being annoying. and i know i am too or saying this, but still man.

  • @HUsoldier8016 Amen. My dad sang this song. I have a record of it., pretty cool when I was a kid. I'm 47 now & I still dig these old tunes. I think it's great that teens get into it. A great song get's into you from the beginning. Peace!

  • @guanaba1234 true, these kids don't realize it's not a competition to prove how "fantastic" they are for listening to great music. They should concentrate more on the music and become less smug.

  • @guanaba1234 that true no one cares

  • @guanaba1234 wel there trying to tell the older people that some young kids still apreciate real music

  • @guanaba1234 They want us oldheads (28, sorry, had to get it in LOL) to be impressed by them appreciating the music at such a tender age. LOL Bless their hearts. They just want to be included with sensibility and excluded from the CRAP kids their age (and mine) are making these days. :) How'd I do? ;-)

  • 17 guys dont have a girl

  • He really starts belting it after the key change...

    A screamed "We-ell!!" at 1:38

  • Why is this the first song that every grown black man sings when he's trying to show off his signing skills? It has become a cliche.

  • effortless genuis...love the temps....thanks for posting...it's music histoty

  • i love them sooooo much!

  • No matter how many times I watch any live version of this song, I can never figure out the steps for "I've got so much honey, the bees envy me..."

  • KI - you are my month of May. Love, VI

  • am i the only one looking at those freakishly skinny legs??

  • hahha tis song

  • It's a great song, but it makes me think of chili.

    (Anyone wanna guess why?)

  • William "Smoky" Robinson wrote this with David's voice in mind. You hear people sing this song, over 40 years later, to their newborn baby girls, and to their grandmothers in the nursing home. Did Smoky know at the time, that he was writing a masterpiece for the ages?

  • Thanks for sharing this! Having Eddie, Melvin, Paul and Otis stand on those boxes was a great idea for filming because the tv audience got to see the Temps choreography for this song! After all, the Temps were known for their great choreography and 'The Temptation Walk' which was done in this clip on My girl at approximately 1:29-1:30.

  • MOTOWN HAD SO MANY STARS AND GREAT SONGS BUT THINK TEMPTATIONS AND SMOKEY WERE THE BEST

  • oh my, they are so sexy.

    Love&Peace from Berlin/Germany

  • i love motown

  • The original temptations, nothing like the real thing

  • This song has spiritually up lifted my friend from the severe depression. Thank you all who make this song possible for the world to experience hearing the angles.

  • The best part of this clip is the very rare footage of the Temps and Norman Whitfield in the Snake Pit studio along with Berry Gordy's comments and Robin Seymour after the end of the vocals. Thanks for posting this!

  • hello from germany.

I love the temptations because of their absolutely great choreography. something very new those days, and still unbeatable.

  • one of em is hittin some serious bass notes! sounds like the first octave range!

  • @martyfriedman666 That would be Melvin hitting the bass notes he is the one on the left in front of the late great Eddie Kendricks.

  • tremendo styleeeee

  • 0:12 WTF?'??!!

  • if you listen to the vocals and the harmony and the showmanship no one can or ever will be able to match them there is only one motown group from the modern era who can come close and thats boys 2 men other then that everyone else is crap and really bad imitators

  • Are there white guys who sing this song?

  • 60's Motown, absolutley the best!!!

  • @tommygunn162 you mean woodstock!

  • Wow-- why haven't I seen this before?? This version is amazing...

  • the song is everywhere at 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' or 'Big Bang Theory' it's famous

  • あこがれました。コンポラスーツ着て六本木あたりのパレビーできめたくあこがれたあのころ。

  • From smooth and classy to vulgar and trashy (rap). Music has gone a long way....long ugly way.

  • For my baby girl and my momma!

  • awsome music

  • My father use to tell us David Ruffin was "The Temptations"!

  • @Thesupernova711 why did he lie? dennis made the temps i mean who won em the grammy? dennis

  • @SF23ENT ,they won the grammy,he didnt win them the grammy, the first record with all the tempts sharing a lead

  • @Thesupernova711

most of the Temptations hits was w/ David Ruffin...but...i liked Dennis also!

  • @nnshel13 : lol

  • The more I watch and listen, it was David Ruffin , Eddie, Paul, Melvin , David put them on the map. The others were just imitations

  • @gimmyjaycaddy1 what about the guy who won them the first grammy?dennis

  • Without David Ruffin, the Temptaions are in search of a David Ruffin. Lol

  • @cowardsbware77 You got that right, I care less of his problems or that movie, he was the man!!!

  • Looks like 8 idiots can't enjoy a good music.

  • if this song was made in 2011 it would be called my bitch lol

  • hold on a minute..... was that Katy Perry in the audience?????

  • World's most original choreography, particularly the "I dream of genie" move. As well as the most engaged audience of all time...

  • @licebrigade What does the "I dream of genie" move mean? I never heard of it. Could you explain that please? (I hope you're not joking, though.)

  • what a shame david ruffin was such self-centered drug addict

  • @TheMsRosabelle Even more of a shame his problems spiralled out of control, his final few hours and his death so sad. His songs will live on forever. Too darn soulful.

  • @TheMsRosabelle Even more of a shame his problems spirralled out of control, resulting in his final few hours and death one of the most sad and tragic imaginable. His songs and legacy will live forever. Too darn soulful

  • @TheMsRosabelle You watched the movie to many times, he was the man!!!

  • This song makes me wish that I could sing so I can sing this song to my beautiful girl

  • david :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • am i the only one surprised that the audience consisted of white women O.O

  • @MyGodzilla99 Must have been all the friends, sisters, aunties of Ruff's white girl friends lol

  • /watch?v=CvBKMKAD97U

    Modern Version of this song

  • @MrVoxter Fucking horrible.

  • david ruffin was a problem!

  • wish the sound quality was a bit better . guess we are both getting old ! lol

  • 8 people ain't got no girl, no sunshine, no riches or no fame.

  • I was walking home from school the other day...The rain was utterly horrendous and the fact that I had a bad day didn't help either. But then I started singing this song and the lines, "i've got sun chine on a cloudy day" just lifted my soul. Peace.

  • How can somone come on here and talk about Bieber? There's no way in hell he compares to any of the Temptations!!!! These guys are legends for a reason and rightfully so! This music is a heckuva lot better than todays! There's no heart and soul or emotion today, that's why these are classics!!!!!!!!!

  • A demanding person and hard to please, huh?..... Isn't that the sign of a Leader? I mean, people who aren't demanding and easy pleased don't usually end up in positions of Leadership do they? These sound more like attributes for a great person rather than a 'Gay' person. Sorry for asking so many questions, TwistedSister09, I'm just trying to figure out why people hate this young man so much.

  • his voice gives me a boner....

i feel sorry for the ladies....

    eggs were dropping that night

  • This shit be gettin the bitches wet

  • @kAsHMoN311 hahaha!

  • @toxicoman1000 The Late Melvin Franklin

  • fuck me sideways, at a voice!!! love david

  • this song is so gay just like these guys

  • @justinbieberisgodz You mean your Daddy, why are you here listening? Oh yeah, they're gay. I know David got more pussy then you can dream of son.

  • @jczother He listens to justin Bieber. That's enough proof to know he has no taste in music.

  • @justinbieberisgodz You have to be a troll. I mean Justin Bieber is the gayest thing ever!

  • @TwistedSister09 How come he's selling millions of records if he's so gay? I don't understand.

  • @Jemini29944 There has been gay people that sold tons of records. George Michael and Boy George for example.

  • @Jemini29944 Justin Bieber sucks and there's so many people with talent and they get ignored while this kid with the crap voice gets noticed. LAME.

  • @TwistedSister09 I guess I don't quite understand, TwistedSister09. Justin has no control over the media attention he gets. His record company does. Also, he doesn't seem to be a mean spirited person. Don't you think your more angry at the Music Industry BS more so than Justin Bieber?
