The photographs on your site of this storm are some of my favourite photos EVER!! I have stolen quite a few to use as desktop backgroundsn/screensavers, etc. Absolutely jawdroppingly gorgeous!! I love love LOVE your site!!This video is just breathtaking. Your site is one of the reasons why I love the internet:)
I have to say, I first discovered your site about 3 years ago while stationed in Patuxent River MD, and I was awed by the pictures you've taken. Four years in weather with the Navy and never did I get to experience anything like that, and for that I am jealous. Thank you for sharing these.
Man and the music fits so perfectly... Kind of like the end of the world type music and then settles down right when you hit the climax of the storm...perfection!
Beautifully done! I'm the rankest of amateurs with my digital photography, and tried for some storm shots this year. The best I could hope for was to pluck some stills of lightning shots out of video I took with my Kodak Easy Share. Gotta love those supercells! If my still shots can even get to be half as good as yours, I'd be thrilled!
Stuff like this constantly has me trying to work on my patience behind the still cam; you shoot those with this timelapse in mind, or did the timelapse idea come later?
Nope, never thought to do it at the time, like 90% of the things I end up trying to time lapse later. Wish I'd think to do it more often, even on video.
Perhaps since there was no real audio with a bunch of still photos? Besides, semi noises and faint thunder...eh I don't think anyone is missing much there. Certainly not more than the visuals, but of course one can't just enjoy the free visuals of such an event anyway.
That. Is. MASSIVE! And GORGEOUS! The beautiful and scary side of nature, captured in spectacular fashion - 5/5 stars and an add to my favorites - WOW.
I've been a fan of your site for almost four years now, I had no idea you had a YouTube channel too! Awesome.

There's no accounting for musical taste. I think the overdub goes well. Very nice work. You're my hero.
akalakatak 2 years ago
why do people over-dub dreadful music to clips instead of the real sound which in this case would be even more awesome than the visuals

@1302tigger I like the real sound too but the rhythm of the music goes great with the rotation of the Meso. Great job guys

What's your opinion on the connection to this and the Air France flight?
Similar senario happened in Sept 2001, as seen in the GEOS footage of Hurricane Erin.
3 days @ 0400 UT.
This was the second day, I think.
