AEM Dryflow and Oiled Filter Comparison

Says aem on it but not dryflow

My aem filter looks exactly like the third one (The black dryflow) except mine doesnt say dryflow on it so would that mean mine isn't a dryflow?

@YGame If it's grey or black, it's most likely a dryflow. Does it say "AEM" on it?

I have the new aem/k&n hybrid dryflow filter. After I cleaned my filter, all the red dye washed out. Now my filter is yellow. Is this normal?

@ThePantyDroper Sounds like the wrong kind of cleaner was used. Use only the Synthetic air filter cleaner, K&N part # 99-0624 or Simple Green!

@ThePantyDroper As long as it has no holes or tears in it, it's fine. Don't worry about the change in color.

@ArnevikDude I had a problem years ago with a K&N filter on my 2000 Tundra. My sensor went bad soon after I installed the filter. My mechanic told me the oil from the filter caused it to go bad. I'm no mechenic so I don't know if all mass air flow sensors are right next to the air filter like my tundra. I called K&N they said I must have over oiled the filter. I told them if any one over oiled the filter it was them because it was brand new out of the box. I took them out of all my trucks
