The bible doesn't merely say men shall not lay with men. The bible says that if a man lay with another man as he lay with a woman, he will be put to death and his blood be upon him. Just a tidbit of information you left out. Yes. The bible orders death upon homosexuals.
Homosexuality is not a choice. I used to be really against it, thought it was so disgusting and basically hated anyone who was like that. Until I fell in love with a girl, and found it hard not to like girls for their traits. Sure, I'd rather not be like this ... but would I be happy any other way?

What people the common chrisitian need's to understand is that they should welcome anyone, no matter what they have done with open arms. Our job is not to condemn them for their sins, we have our own sins to worry about. Instead we should show them how god loves them, not how He hates them.

If people were brought up to respect people and their differences, then why protest against homosexuality
