Are you positive this is the correct name of the song? I looked through all their track listings for each album and could not find the song. The newest album doesn't have it either. The song has the potential of being a great gothic hit. I wish I could buy it already. :-(
@stealthkiller2107 - I am positive, yes. I actually talked to Ashton about it 'cause I originally labeled it wrong, haha.
So far as I know this song was never released on an album, but on their FB page they announced a new EP that will be out in time for Christmas, so hopefully this will be on there. : )
@Ahania - I'm assuming it never made the cut on an album, yeah. I've had the pleasure of meeting them twice now, they're great people! They're one of my favorite bands as well. : )
In 2008, The Awakening were the band that turned me from "DJ" to "Concert Promoter". I wanted to see them so badly I figured it, screw it - I'll do their Atlanta show myself. Having them back in August. I'm crazy excited!!! :-P
thier a gothic rock band, there's a huge differance
not meaning any offence or anything
but the awakening are my favourite band and i have to correct people on these matters, glad you like them, no where near enough people appreciate them, so my hat goes off to you
They're one of my favorite bands too, I love them! : D
They certainly don't identify themselves with "Christian/worship" music, just as mewithoutYou has Christian themes but is not "Christian" per say, but they do have Christian themes. The Awakening also played at the Cornerstone Festival last year, which is indeed a Christian music festival.
So I would still have to conclude that they are "Christian", but not outwardly so. A lot of their lyrics testify to this too.
i myself am a pagan, and can quite idealise myself with thier christian themes as im sure you can agree that christianity and paganism do share wuite a few things.
but yes as a goth, i must say the awakening are my favorite of goth bands, and they dont get enough credit as they deserve.
