  • The parents can feed tem any time they want.

    ~Rodney

  • y dont u add me..... rilly

  • i know that to make a lovebird baby tame and friendly is to handfeed them. but can you take them out of the cage, let them walk on your lap and they'll be tame too???

  • Tame birds has nothing to do with hand feeding, it has to do with socialization.

    ~Rodney

  • good job! but how i know that there stomach is full?

  • they are not too naughty..

  • how old are the parents?

  • 7 years old.

  • He might be telling you he wants to start weaning. Do not ever force a baby to eat. Cut out the number of feedings now.

  • these luv bird vids r addicting

  • where can you buy the formula for new babies?

    can you make it??

  • it looks like ur hurting them but i no ur not

  • hi,

I really love your videos, te babies are so cute! Right now I have 3 handfed babies, they are now 4 weeks old and very cute and playful! I was wondering, how much do they eat at this age? Right now they eat 10ml, but isn't this too much? Also, if I look at your videos the crops of my birds are a lot fuller after a feeding, am I doing something wrong?

  • which way do you have to feed them with the syringe?

  • They eat very fast.

  • Yes, they had been eating from the syringe for a little while, so they were pros!

  • how noisy are lovebirds like can u put them in a room and sleep with out knowing there ther

  • Not the babies.

  • what sort of food do you give them?

  • Roudybush Handfeeding Formula

  • aww hows cute!

  • wat happen to little star?the smallest one

  • He got adopted! This is a video of the 2nd Clutch we ever did! These babies are now Tudor and Mar (originally Hope & Faith) from our January clutch in 2007.

  • why you give more food to the right one?

  • one is older.

  • omg they are the cuttest thing ever!!

  • Cute! I love baby birds! Can lovebirds talk? I don't know the answer! Please reply!

  • About 1 in 1000 can. Our Evee says "up."

  • I am really addicted to your videos. Thanks for these..

  • What kind of feeding formula do you give your birds? When do start giving them?

  • We give them Roudybush Handfeeding formula (it's the best and highly recommended by our Avian Vet). We do not recommend the Kaytee Exact brand. We start handfeeding at two weeks.

  • Why don't you recommend Kaytee's Exact? I have raised baby parakeets and lovebirds for years and all are healthy and happy. I have never lost one or had any problems. I am curious what it is you don't like about their formula?

  • Our Avian vet, number one, doesn't recommend it. We found the same results he was seeing. The babies would not digest that formula very well. It would stay in their crops. Also, we when we got Ashlee, she had a sour crop because of that formula. Lastly, we do not like to support Kaytee because of the bird mills in which they mass-raise their birds. Many unhealthy and inbred birds are supplied by Kaytee.

  • We actually didn't see a major difference until we switched. Then, it was like night and day compared to each other (the two formulas). Our babies were healthier and weaning faster.

  • These are Creamino Peach-Face Lovebirds.

  • when do they learn to fly??

  • Usually between 5-6 weeks. The youngest we have had was 4 weeks and 5 days.

  • i think my lovebird millie is pregnant shes sat on the bottom of her cage and the male lovebird billie keeps feeding her. what do you think? am not femiliar with lovebird pregnacys.

  • Yeah, she probably is or at least ready to nest. Look for an egg bump to appear near her vent area.

  • um are you a breeder like do you breed the lovebirds and after sell them because i might want to buy some cause when my lovebirds have eggs i could sell them too but only to my friends um OH YA DO YOU HAVE A WEB SITE

  • Yes, we are breeders. Yes, we have a website (see the link in my profile). We only sell weaned baby lovies.

  • um were do you get the feeding needle this is siereos because my lovebirds layed eggs and they dont realy spend time with the eggs

  • It's a o-ring syringe that you can get at any Petsmart in the bird section.

  • ok thankyou so much your the best =D

  • Sand8384, unless your babies are sick and not eating, you should not ever have to use an extention. We take our babies out at 10-14 days. The youngest always eat very well and normally teach the older ones how to eat. Normally by day 2 or 3, all the babies are pros and enjoying their feedings. Feeding the babies this way is more like their parents feeding them than using an extention also. Check out our video: Feeding Younger Lovebird Babies.

  • Are they just old enough to not have the food directly put down into their crops with an extension? I've always had to put the food directly down into the crops of babies before so they don't choke.

  • yes it is infertile because they are two different genuses of birds.

  • these are sooo cute i have 2 lovebirds the male lovebird bites me is do you know a way he could stop biting me?? please respond!

  • it depends on the situation. is he in with a female? was he well-socialized as a baby? did you buy him from a retail store or a reputable breeder?

  • i have 2 lovebirds to but instead of the male nibbling its the female the male loves me.

  • It´s most often the female who bites... Are you sure it´s a male bird? :)

  • aww they r sooo cute ^^

umm i have a question...i have a male lovebird and a female cockatiel together in a cage for like 3 years..they werent fighting it went fine and then they mate..O_O..3 days later the cockatiel lay an egg..is it an infertile egg?

  • awsome video!!!!!

  • where can i get training on feeding baby birds?

  • We learned from books, Dr. Burkett (our Avian Vet), a friend (Carolina Flight Aviary), and trial and error. Honestly, I hate that most breeders don't share their secrets (which we share everything!), but if you have any specific questions, feel free to email us.

  • wow ur so experienced im getting a cockatiel nxt week when the baby cokctiels come in so i will be commenting and watching alot of these vids and beautiful birds what type are thye if u can get back 2 me?

  • These are Creamino Peach-Faced Lovebirds!

  • what is that liquid made of?

  • it is Exact Handfeeding Formula for Parrots. We are thinking of changing brands to Roudy Bush Handfeeding Formula, but it is the Exact brand in this video.

  • goooooooood job!

  • CUTE!!!

  • Nice video! The babies are so cute.
