  • I keep hearing that the 64bit doesn't work, which is why I hold out on purchasing this game. I wanna play it so bad though.! -_- hmm.

  • @Satisfaktion4u It works on 64bit. :)

  • @ibuckyi Are you speaking of the retail disc version? Or download?

  • @Satisfaktion4u It doesn't matter where you install it from. Digital or disc it still the same game, and code. You can download it from Steam, and it works.

  • @ibuckyi Alright, perhaps I'll just purchase it anyways (disc). Thanks.

  • @labyrinthxcore

u can get a windows 7 at the store

  • what are your computer specs?

  • why the game is laggy when i put a resolution higher than the default one (800x640 i think)

    win7 home basic

    4 gb ram

    2.6 ghz

  • can re 3 support this spec???

    Intel(R) Pentium(R) Processor E5400 (2.70GHz, 800FSB, 2MB)

    3GB (3x 1GB) DDR2 800MHz SDRAM Memory

    NVIDIA® GeForce® G310 512MB DDR3

  • @MultiXXLeonXx

    you are so lucky -_-

  • Wait hold on...Red Alert 3 Can Support Windows 7!!! I thought Red Alert 3 Didnt work if u had WIndows 7...Can someone please tell me if Red Alert 3 is playable on Windows 7, i want to make sure. Thanks

  • i tested on my windows 7 but i cant put the settings ultra high it just so so laggy idk why

    my specs:

    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

    Ram: 3gbs

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU 2.40GHz

pls a little help tell me if i have something bad?

  • what are the specifications for red alert on windows 7?

a xp needs a different processor than a vista but what about windows 7?

  • Should say on your Red Alert 3 box or requirements. That's what you have to look at to run the game, and not the OS.

  • the requirements on the box and on interternet are only for xp an vista but I want to know the requirement for windows 7

  • should be the same

  • What are your computer specs?

Also, if I download/buy Windows 7, how high will my settings be for RA3?

    Comp specs:

AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Mobile Processor RM-70(2.00Ghz)

    3GB RAM

    ATI Radeon 3100(256 dedicated VRAM).

  • Settings depend on your hardware not the OS

  • Lol you dick head, thats not windows 7 :| win 7 has no text next to the icons i have it... :| ur an idiot thats vista/xp

  • ok troll.. maybe you should look at the property settings in the start menu of windows 7 and click on never combine taskbar buttons.

  • yea its faster becouse it dont have as good graphics as the ultimate gaming vista os 64bit

  • Go on the windows 7 main site, and there is a download for the RC test.

  • How does Red Alert 1 play on Windows 7?

  • its the PRE-BETA hes playing on

the sidebar is made for a reason

  • I'm currently using a 2002 Windows XP computer with 2.5GHz with 512 MB of RAM. Would you still recommend Windows 7?

  • You can try it out, and see how it runs. RC is still available for free on Microsoft's website. From my experience it runs really fast on older computers then XP.

  • how come when i try playing games on high res the response time slows down quiet a lot? for example when i move the mouse it takes a while for it to move on screen? i had 7900 GTO' in SLI so i upgraded to a 9800 GTX and still the same problem. could it be my cpu? i have an AMD X2 4600 @ 2.8ghz.

  • What's your resolution at? Remember the higher the resolution the more processing power it needs from the graphics card. You have to find the sweet spot of the graphics card to play smoothly. Why I miss CRT monitors because you can lower the res without degrading the quality. LCDs you are stuck at a native resolution and you have to find a graphics card to fit that resolution. Example: 1680 x 1050 LCD must have HD 4870 equivalent. Anything lower you will have problems.

  • i really think its the cpu to be honest, i can play fine at 720 resolution but not on 1080.

  • either that you are bottlenecking. Remember it's all about the bigger cache in games, faster ram speeds, hard drive speed. Cpu is hardly in use now a days in games. It could be your harddrive or ram. What ram and hard drive do you have?

  • i have 4gb of OCZ SLI 800mhz ram and a 250gb maxtor sata2 hard drive. cpu is the 2nd most important hardware when it comes to games. without a good cpu the graphics card cant communicate quick enough so it causes the bottleneck.

  • I doubt it's the cpu since red alert is heavy on GPU usage not CPU. GPU has a faster processing speed then a CPU. I have a 2.6 ghz AMD 5200 and HD Radeon 3870 which is a bit less then yours. Upping the resolution requires more processing power from the GPU not the CPU. So if you are gonna max everything including your screen res then you should either lower the screen res or lower the graphic settings in Red Alert. You can't have both unless you can find a card that handles 1680 x 1050.

  • I only have a 2.6 ghz cpu too so it cannot be the cpu. GPU, hard drive, and ram are in use when playing a game, but more on GPU, and HD since it has to render everything on the spot.

  • after watching this video, i have decided install win7, wish me luck

  • holy shit it loaded soo fast in to game when i used vista it tooked about 10 seconds amagad

  • Thanks a lot for this. Thanks a loads for these w7 videos

  • Windows 7 is gonna be a great hit!! Wow I skipped Vista after hearing negative things about it's performance......I am waiting for Windows 7

  • windows 7 was well taken care of for us consumers............fuck vista too laggy and to many junk files like sp1 to make it as good or not even close to windows 7.

  • thx 4 the upload!

  • Nice, I've been playing around with my Video Card overclock and can't seem to get it running with BSOD.

  • I will be doing a series of gaming benchmarks and tests in windows 7 beta [offical key].

games i will be reviewing for compatibility.

    Red alert 3.

    GTA IV.

    CS:S

    Crysis Warhead/Wars

    Left 4 dead.

Hope to see more videos from you

  • Man, thanks a lot for your videos showing gaming on Windows 7! I was so worried about this topic in general, because I use my computer for gaming more than nothing else.

I would like to know if you can tell me when will the final version of Windows 7 x64 version will come out, and If it's better to test the build 7000 but x84 than waiting for the x64 of it or just testing this x64 build you're using.

    Thanks a lot. :)

  • cool video! ;)

  • I loved this video so much that I tried Windows 7 myself, but I do don't know where to get working sound and VGA drivers. My motherboard is a a K9VGM-V and I have tried many sound drivers, but no luck. Can you give me the links to all the drivers you installed that worked please.

  • no its request more Processor speed but its actualy runs game faster and smoother and start up time is amazing and use less ram in the beginning its a great OS just wait to the full version comes out and you will see

  • great video! I've got an HD3850, and I'm downloading the beta right now, wich Catalyst version will I have to install?

  • wich graphic card do u use?... because with mi ati radeon 256 i hve to use Low Settings for an smooth playing :(

  • HD 3870

  • Cool, have you encountered any bugs yet?

Also what are your system specs? :D

  • I've only had minor software installation issues, but it's a 64bit so of course. I've been using this as my main operating system over my Vista SP1. I can play any of my music to my blue tooth or wifi speaker system without needing to transfer to my SD card it's amazing. This OS has a lot more potential then I thought it would.

    System Specs:

    AMD 5200 2.6ghz

    HD 3870

    Audigy 4 Pro

    4 Gigs Gskil PC6400

    Logitech HD 9000

  • How can Windows 7 fail if it's not even released yet to the public lol? What drugs are you on?

  • OWNED! btw dude i got the 32 bit version and i wanna know whats difference between 64x?

  • 32 bit is an old architecure used way back in the 80s. 64bit is the future architecture what you see in hardware right now. In other words if you have a 64bit cpu, and use it on a 64bit operating system it will be much faster then that of it's 32 counterpart since it can process instructions faster.

  • mmm no 16 bit where in 80s the 32bit system come early 1990s windows 3.11 support 32bit systems but windows 3.1 only support 16bit and 8bit ofcores it support all the down to 2bit but thats pretty low and not mutch ram
