here is something kinda interesting. Larry is sitting at the desk with a glass of wine... In the Bible wine was commonly used as a metaphor for the Holy Spirit

I recall reading somewhere where Brian said explicitly that Larry was not meant to be a representation of the "Holy Spirit", but declined to explain exactly what Larry was meant to represent. I can't find that now (could have sworn it was on his website's faq). And season 2 ep. 5 they discuss whether or not there should be one, so it's clear that Larry is something else.
