Harrier is the most basic thing to learn for 3D. It is basically slowed flight till the wings stall and the nose goes up with a little help from the elevator. From there almost all 3D maneuvers start from including the hover.
@360wasian No certain setup, just a 3D plane. On the sim, the Yak543D is the easiest to hover. Real RC planes, get a profile like a MoJo or OMP ProYak.
@360wasian You don't actually hang from the prop. You are still flying all the control surfaces. Learn to hover by starting with high alpha, nose high flight. When you get that down then keep increasing the angle till you are hovering.
