  • I am an Arab Christian. My whole entire family is the same. Its very common to fine other Arabs like us. I was told there was more Arab Christians in the US than Arab Muslims.

  • terirem ,tenane

  • the music sounds like mevlevi dervish music.

  • the music sound slike mevlevi dervish music.

  • There are millions of Arabic speaking Christians today and they live in the same lands that were occupied by pagan Rome, Christian Rome and later Byzantium. The majority of the Church Fathers came from Egypt, Syria, Turkey and Palestine. The faith of the Orthodox is the faith of the early church.

  • Historically , before the Advent of Islam from Arabia ( Saudi ) , most if not all of the Arabian Gulf and States we now know are actually Christian Kingdoms and nations that had ancient rites liturgies and prayers ( which might be similar to Orthodox Jews or the Islamic Physical Prayer Sessions ).

There was bowing to the altar of god , kneeling , sitting , making the sign of the cross , prostrations and praising god all at the same time. This was adopted by the Muslims by Mohammed.

  • British are Keltics, everyone know. While English are of Germanic origin. Anyway, what race have to do with religion? Human came from Adam n Eve, but there are also half human (Homo Sapiens) came from the mix seed Homo Erectus (Apes).

this doxology sounds more to Byzantine Greek style for me, but it is still nice n no matter what denominations you are, it is a great heritage of Christians in the East : )

  • Arab means people of Western side of Euphrates river, we have the same origin with those Chaldeans n Sabeans. And the Phonecians are the Amelechites (Wild Arabs), just like those Southern Arabian (Yemenites). The first term before known as Arab is Ibrit (Hebrew) which means those who passing the river. Coptics aren't Arab n we know this. Ghassanides of South Syria r Arabs. Hirah (Persian Church Adherents) people of Iraq are Arabs.

  • I think only the arab christians are the only ones that practice the actual teachings of Jesus. American christians don't practice the same one, jesus was never jumping up and down speaking in tongues.

  • @MrMacbookVideos

yeah, I agree, I admire coptic orthodox christians, arab christians,

american christians, western christians dance and sing like they celebrate themselves, there is nothing spiritual in that -----"jumping up and down speaking in tongues"--- that's funny (it made me laugh)

  • @schimaMon3 Lolz i am glad it made you laugh, But I think I am speaking the truth. They seem to be adding things and additions to their religion that were never there. I think this is why people look to Islam for a deeper and more traditional way of worship.

  • all people alive in the world today orignate from small group of people (not more than few thousands) that lived somewhere in east Africa. so modern science confirms the notion that all people are brothers and sisters, no matter how different their religions and beliefs are. truly fascinating.

  • @jubitoftw

Yeah, it's funny how all religions are similar yet most people don't know that.

  • @jubitoftw

Yeah, so lets stop killing each other!

  • This is truly beautiful! I am An Orthodox Christian in America, a convert, I am Irish, so I do not really have a traditional Orthodox background, my church mixes Byzantine and Slavic Chant, so to hear this is unique and amazing. Especially to hear instruments with the Doxology, different, but you can still feel orthodoxy in it.

  • Many Christians of the Middle East do not een consider themselves Arabs as they themselves were conquested by the Arabs of Arabia, hence the Lebanese are of Phoenician/Cannanite origin, the Egyptians are Coptic, the Iraqis are Chaldean/Babylonian. To lump all Arabic speaking people as 1 nation/ethnicity is as ubsurd as saying all English-speaking people are of British ancestry.

  • Let me tell u something met. You are right in saying that some of us our not of arab ancestry due to invasions we are mixed. However, did u know that arabic first spread by christian arab tribes to iraq. I am a christian my mother is arab christians we are the decendants of the ghassanids.(Bani Ghassan) reserach online.

  • OK, then you are truly an Arab Christian from Iraq. Excuse my ignorance. At the same time, the original language of Iraq and the rest of the middle east was not Arabic until the 12th C. or even later. Before this time, the predominante language was Aramaic (Syriac), which was also the language of Jesus Christ. Many spoke Greek, which was the lingua franca at that time-some were mixed with Greek descent.Never said there were no true Arab Chirstians, just that many are not truly Arab originally.

  • Lakhmids Banu Lakhm Muntherids were a group of Arab Christians who lived in Southern Iraq, and made al-Hirah their capital in 266 thats well before the 12th century my freind. Also you are right of course aramaic is the ancestral languague even arabs are mixed now due to intermarriage and we will always recognise the assyrian heritage. However, the logical conclusion is that we are all mixed(bilad ish sham people) anyway.

  • @timothym87 But who are the original Arabs? Semites. Just like Assyrians, Canaanites and other sub-races in the Levant region.

  • forgive me my ignorance, but as arabic chant has it a reason why there is a cross with portraying Jesus Christ probably?

Could be a arabic-christian chant which would be quite rare. Anyway very nice voices

  • Arab Christians are a minority but they are not as rare as you think. Remember that much of the Middle East was Christian before the coming of Islam, and some people still continue the tradition today.

  • Not all Arabs are Muslims if that what you potray in your question...

  • Not rare. I converted to Orthodoxy and go to an Antiochian Orthodox Church in the heart of Pittsburgh, PA and I have the great pleasure of being able to hear Arabic chant during the worship and liturgy. There is an amazingly beautiful Arabic Eucharistic chant sung by a woman in our parish as we go up to receive the Body and Blood of Christ.

  • I briefly studied Islam in college before my conversion and I found the chanting of the Qu'ran in Arabic beautiful. Arabic is a beautiful language, really, and lends nicely to chanting, and I was happy to find this beauty in an Orthodox Christian context and to hear it during worship. (We do Byzantine Chant as well, which is also very beautiful.) :-)

  • This is beautiful. Thanks!
