  • It's pretty amazing to see children performing these techniques. Kenpo techniques can be complicated and these kids are making it look easy!

  • I use to do Kenpo, but I have gone into MMA. It is more of a complete system, I feel more confident now. Kenpo is outdated.

  • @clearcombat Kenpo Karate is self defense. It's not made for mma. A true student of "the way" would rather talk his way out of a fight than be the aggressor in one.

  • Amazing Job, congrats to the students and teacher !

  • Anyone who has anything negative to say can come to counterstrike any time for some "friendly" sparring. The door is always open to you.

  • is it ballet?

  • yea it is wanna join? we'll teach u how to b a man

  • my teacher tha best

  • There not doing Kenpo, they're just doing moves out there.

There sparring looks better on pads than it does in actually contact sparring. Air Karate is all it is.

Kid black belts? I understand a gifted child from time to time, but a whole bunch of 'em. Come on dude.

this tells me the instructor has tolerance, and a Man with tolerance is a man with no values.

  • try a class sometime, you'll see that the students there train as hard as can be

  • actually ur rite coolwolfkid wuss ur name? i mite kno u

  • louis, ive been a student of daves for years

  • yooooooooo its Jeremy wuts up its been a while

  • another youtube warrior, did you get your black belt yet in cybernet fighting?

  • Nope. I got it at a real Kenpo School.

  • oh action karate... i understand now

  • Word. I don't do air karate.

  • ur still commentin on this vid dude? God i told u already that David Pantano is one of Tatums best instructors...y do u continue? ok ur good but where does it say that u should make fun of other martial artist that may need improvment? a real black belt makes suggestions and offers help and knowlegde that the less experienced student may not kno...If u really got ur black belt at a real Kenpo School u should kno this and aggree with it and stop bein so dam cocky

  • plus like i said b4 this is an old video...try sumthin new...if ur so good fly out to philly and train at the skool for a week...then say the same thing after ur training...i can garrantee theres sum1 there that has a better long 4 than u

  • David Pantano is one of the best Kenpo people on the East coast. He works as hard if not harder than his students to perfect the art of Kenpo Karate. Super video!

    Sensei Fred Pleis

    AKKS

  • They have a good future ;)

More regard's from LTKKA Portugal! ;)

  • good students, good instructor. good job, train hard train safe. pisau77

  • these kids could roach someone, they are excellent, watch out for them later

  • Good future for this kenpoists,

    Best regards from Portugal LTKKA!

  • love the vid

  • That is why the evolution of the art perpetuated by Mr. Skip Hancock simplifying the complicated techs to 4 basic reference pts. Combine his work with Mr. Mills(To feel is to believe) and their is this movement out there that jumps time & space.

  • Here's my take on Kenpo, and it's just MHO:

Kenpo's "weakness" is its reliance on complicated moves, especially in the earlier belts, before alot of heavy sparing takes place.

But you have to set that weakness against the strength that if you can actually land one of the moves they are completely devastating. Successfully landing one of Kenpo's "complicated katas" immediately ends a fight, usually for good.

  • Ive practiced AK for about 5 years now, alot of it does seem like "overkill" so I kind of agree, the movements can be complicated. But also, Kenpo was kind of made to overwhelm an opponent, Id rather overkill then leave myself open to retaliation. =)

  • looks like it'd be a GREAT school for a kid to belong too!!

    They sure are having fun!

  • labhras90 you my friend are a fool and i hope you grow up one day soon.

  • Wonder full Video, from Chile

  • Training with Sai, Nunchaku and Kama have value. It keeps interest and fun in training. Improves hand /eye coordination. All martial arts training does not have to be deadly sierous all of the time. How many deadly street fights will a 4 year old get into? C'mon people think!

  • labhras99, Does your family tree have branches? Evidently not.

  • Why teach a weapon you can not legally carry on the street? I mean sai, nunchaku, and kama? Get real!

I mean staff and stick yes I totally agree with. But this video looks more like a promo for a "McDojo"! Little kids with high ranks is ridiculous. This is not an acurate reflection of a Ed Parker based Kenpo School.

  • I do american kenpo myself and have a green belt. Those kids are fantastic, I know the dedication they would have to put in to get to that level. Not to mention how much more difficult learning balance and stances would be for kids so young (who are still growing physically AND have a camera trained on them). I'm very impressed and i for one think they deserve the belts they have. ^_^

  • thats fucking lethal

  • CS Kenpo has a giant new facility now along with an extremely skilled and dedicated Sensai

  • Sensei**

  • our school rocks and those kids are amazing at what they do....they still have improving to do, but who doesnt.why is a 15 year complaining about what 10 year olds do!?!?

  • well I do kenpo karate, and some of this stuff (the claw manuever) is gonna get you killed in a fight, other than things like that, very very impressive!

  • But the kid was tensing up his fingers not really in a claw manuever

  • The basics are what you need for a real fight, everything else has a purpose when the opportunity arises. If you can get killed using the Claw strike, you can also get killed using a vertical or horizontal punch.

  • First of all I hope your forms are better since you are still a blue belt and have been training for 5 years and since that is what your school works on.

Please give me a time code when your talking about where their stances were bad.

Do me a favor if you want to see intensity go to the youtube search and search for another counterstrike student. Its the first video.

By the way which school do you go to?

  • i think they only really hav 3 problems :

first~they have horrible stances havent u ppl ever heard of a forward bow stance u know u r supposed to do them whenever u throw a strike with ur rear hand

second~they lack an important thing called INTENSITY

not all of em do but most of em do

third~there forms arent very good (neither r mine but

    theyre better than that)

  • You can't tell but most of the kids in that video except for three of them arent blackbelts

  • secondly I AM NOT TRYING TO RIP ON LITTLE KIDS IM TELLING EXACTLY WUT I THINK. i saw a black belt in there who was probably about 10 or 11 years old doing a technique called calming the storm and he wasnt that good at it. im not saying they suk im saying there stances suck (thats just my oppinion so dont get so mad but then again i can c why u would counterstrikedad im sure u dont want sum 1 ripping on ur kids skills yes they do have skills at those flashy moves)

  • first of all i would like to apologize to the little kids who do look very cool and good when they do theyre stuff but i will not apologize for the thing i said about there fighting ability im 15 years old and i am a blue belt i go to kenpo classes twice a week

and i will admit theyre better than other black belts that ive seen (ive seen six year old black belts that r garbage)

  • Unchrisum what is your real age? Most people who say they are 98 years old are a teenage or preteen. You have been training for 4 or 5 years...well maybe you should get off the damn sofa and actually learn some kenpo. Maybe you should check out this website larry tatum's website. Go to about half way down the page. Do you see a video that looks familiar?

  • Esos pequeños tienen futuro. Buen video.

  • simply amazing...good work children.

  • Those forms were horrible......enough said!!!!!!!!!

  • Most of the kids doing creative forms in that video are 7-8 yrs old...pretty darn good for their ages. I guess the 14 yr old doing Long 6 is also horrible (he also knows 1-5 and Staff Set 1). How's your Long 6 big guy? Care to post some video of yourself?

  • theyre alright but there stances SUCK! ive been taking kenpo for about 4 or 5 years im a blue belt and at my school we work on the basics and fundementals alot. sure they can beat the hell out of a punching bag but then again who couldnt. also that little black belt kid at about :31 sux at long two u r suposed to do hand spears NOT jab a claw at them. sure theyre black belts and there stuff looks cool and would be great for demos but they would lose horribly in any type of real fight.

  • If you've been training in Kenpo for about 4 or 5 years and are still a blue belt maybe you should concentrate on training harder instead of ripping on a bunch of little kids.

  • awsome video

  • David,

Keep up the great work. Your friend, Michael Miller

  • and the terrorist?

    go Starcraft Kenpo Karate and

    Warcraft 3 Kenpo Karate

  • The Kenpo world needs more David Pantano's.

Great video my friend, and as always, I admire your work ethic and dedication to this great art. Hope you and I can get pounded on by Larry Tatum again soon, LOL.

  • awesome and exciting

  • Awesome stuff.

  • These kids are awesome!!! Good video
