@MeSezSo Actually in the sense he used it, Scat means "Vocal Jazz". It was a style of music made sometime mid twentieth century, or maybe it was about the same time the other forms of Jazz became popular. There are other scatmen too, my dad mentioned one to me, I'm not sure how to spell his name, it was something like scatman Kruthers (Cruthers? I'm not really sure). Scatman John was just the most epic :)
