Kurt was so...aware. He knew so much, yet he focused so much on the negative. I may be younger than he was when he died, but I still understand that mentality. It can be really overwhelming. I have anxiety, and when I thought the way he did...there were time where I considered ending it all. He had bipolar, which is 100x worse. Thankfully I grew out of that abject pessimism and negativity, it just really sucks that he didn't. If only he'd gotten over heroin, if only he'd waited a little longer.

I just read the biography of Kurt (Heavier than Heaven) and the author commented on the brief period of time Kurt was wearing the glasses. He said Kurt wore them because he felt it made him look more intelligent. He wore them until someone told him that it made him look just like his Dad...he never wore them again (he really had a grudge against his father). Funny as hell.
