  • Nice organ, sounds really good.

  • It is so beautifuly made, well done!

  • This is extremely impressive. Did you apprentice with an organ builder or did you just do it on your own?

  • @19shea85 I built this on my own using books and the internet.

  • @raphig WOW! So cool. You have allot of patience!

  • Would you sell this organ? What's your price?

  • @UMTomaS No, this organ is not for sale but my Opus 2 is. Please see my website for more information.

  • Wow, great work here. I have an 18 rank electro-mechanical organ at home here. would never think of building all of the pipework myself. I hope to hear from you. Thanks, Gary

  • Well done, fantastic work. You must be very proud and this result must give you a great feeling of satisfaction. I am curious what your occupation is? I quess you are a craftsman in this kind of branche?

  • i Can not express how amasing this is. beutiful.

  • Excellent sound and craftsmanship! Here is another idea. If you would ever like to expand your organ, you might want to pay a visit to Ebay, where i have seen organ pipes being sold (i recall seing a set of flues and krumhorns and more, for really low prices).

  • Fantastic, very good. You are a master! Greetings from Italy! *****

  • true craftsmanship!

  • Does a wood pipe organ sound different than a metal pipe organ? Also, do the wood pipes last as long as the metal pipes? Thank you for any response posted.

  • Wood pipes tend to have more of a flute sound. They don't go bad.

  • Ce Monsieur, Ingénieur de formation, construit ABSOLUMENT SEUL et de A à Z son orgue!

    Stupéfiant non? Claude BOSC.

  • Super job. I constructed a pedal board from scratch but this is something else. Magnifficent sound.

  • Very nice! Very high precision wood craftsmanship for sure! Pipe organs are fascinating instruments. Sounds wonderful! Thank you for sharing!

  • You should make these ranks professionally. Folks might pay a lot for them, because the sound you have produced is absolutely sublime.

  • Thanx for an insight on how organs are made. Wonderful craftsmanship!

  • You are my master! Greetings from Poland! ;)

  • That is beautiful. How long did it take you to make that? Did you have any help putting it together?

  • Poplar key levers!! And that's just the beginning!! Your work is immaculate, and as far as I can tell from the slides, your building techniques are CRAZY- with awesome results. I've been an organ builder for more than 20 years, and been privileged to be involved in some pretty amazing organs. My hat's off to you! Keep up the good work!

  • this is great, i want to make one, it sounds beautiful and looks beautiful!

  • Beautifully!!

  • fascinating project - thanks for sharing

  • Too bad it's over I could have sat and listened to that all day.

By the way, was that a trumpet organ duo. That is something you never hear. Quite beautiful.

  • What A beautiful Organ.

You must be very proud of it.

  • What a wonderful work!

    Congratulations!

I hope you don´t stop at "opus 1".

    The music sounds so beautifull.

God bless you and your art work!

    From Brazil!

  • WOW!!! I'm impressed! Beautiful organ, indeed! I've always wanted one.

  • Good realization. Good sound. Regards.

  • Marvellous sound! I guess in your previous incarnation you've been the man who built the all-wooden organ in the church of S. Maria delle Grazie in Montepulciano, Italy!

  • please tell me how to make your pipes and how to test if they work

  • I've been following this project since I found out about your website! Very nice. A lot of hours represented here! Davidmiler12: there are 4 speaking manual stops and one pedal stop. Woops, some tuning problems in the treble around 5:30 :-)

  • how many speaking stops are there on here

  • Like, awesome good job. Way to go, babe!

  • nice sound!!! how much did you spent for your organ?

  • Someone got an "A" in woodshop....Fine Job!!

  • Great work! That must be a dream to own your own self made organ. Is the Montre 8' open in the lowest octave? And what do the Stops "Music light" and "Pedal light" do?

  • melvis24, the music light and pedal light "stops" actually are not actually stops, they are switches for the music rack and pedal lights, for illumination rather than sound.

  • Very fine workmanship, sir. Many congratulations!

The voicing is absolutely superb as the Bach well shows.

  • absolutly utterly, utterly, amazing !

  • Great! I really admire people, who are able to stand such a huge piece of work! Respect!

By the way: I'm an organist from Germany, and I really adore the recital, you are playing at 1:37. What is its name?

  • It is 'Wachet auf ruft uns die Stimme'(BWV645) from J.S.BACH, as an organist you shout know it. ;)

  • This is awesome! This must be the grand daddy of all DIY projects! :P

  • What a wonderful job... I am so impressed with the quality of the notes and the way they speak. GRAND JOB,SIR. J :-)

  • Wonderful! There's nothing as beaytiful as the sound of wooden-only organ pipes.

  • WOW you literally pulled out all the stops...How long did it take you to do the whole project?

  • It's quite obvious you're a very fine organ builder. I envy you. Its nice to see other fine craftsmen in the trade. Keep up the amazing work.

  • I noticed that the coupling is almost like on the organ at St. Sulpice.

  • Ralphi, We bow to you for your artistry and genius.

    Wow! just...... Wow!

  • That was simply fascinating! Hats off to you!

  • you're close to professional! keep at it!

  • Hard for me to say which homemade pipe organ is more impressive; this one, or "Trudy". I'd say it's a tie. Very nice job; I'm suprised at the amount of music you can get out of 5 ranks!

  • You are a GENIUS, sir

    Luis E. García

    Manizales

    Colombia

  • most amazing piece of home work Ive ever seen.

  • I enjoyed your slideshow on your homemade pipe organ! I had thoughts of this myself, but I realize that this is a MAJOR project. Apparently, you have much, much more drive than I have!

    From John Nozum

  • What is the name of the piece you are playing. I played it many years ago and have forgotten.

  • Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor

  • interessante

  • How wonderful that you had the talent, determinination, stamina, knowledge and let's not forget the resources to do this. It sounds absolutely wonderful. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing this.

  • This is just amazing, I love Pipe Organs. That one Reason I love going to church is to listen to the organ music.

  • This must be the grand daddy of all DIY projects! Congrats to you. This is a very pleasant sounding instrument.

  • semplicemente GRANDE!

  • Noel X, L.Dacquin very good job

  • Raphi, I've been following your work on this project since last year and I'd like to say a heartfelt congratulations on the final result, and also on having landed a new job! Are you calling this your "Opus 1"?

Also, I should mention that your playing of short pieces posted on your website was part of the inspiration I needed to start playing myself. Thank you!

  • This IS great! Where do you purchase an organ kit from? Did you make this totally from scratch? What was your influence?

  • He made this totally from scratch. No kit. This is his own design. Look at the webpage mentioned in the description.

  • It great to see that more people are getting into this!
