Like the pictures from the place I'am still in love with!

Was there as a volunteer in '76 til '77 with Jouke later again '85 til '86.

Went to a Ulpan at Hatzor,came back later and was kick off the place by Farly,had to many Danish girl friends over for a party.

Will return one day with my Danish children when they are older!

I lived in Dorot from 84-87 when I was 6-9 years old. I still remember all the names of the kids my age. I wonder if any are still living there. Mickey

correct me if im wrong, but i think the reason people join a kibbutz is for the feeling of brotherhood among fellow kibbutzim and for a desire for a simpler way of life and for a deeper connection to something outside of the individual and worldly, akin to friars and nuns and monks.

I spent the summer of 1970 at Dorot. It looked quite different then, at least in my memory from 40 years ago. It was a great experience. It seems absolutely beautiful now. I think about that summer often. I am glad to see that it is doing well.

We lived at Dorot from June 1968 to Dec. 1969. I have wonderful memories of our sojourn there with our two young daughters. I see many buildings have been added but the hadar ochel looks the same....Thank you for posting this.

I dont know what year you have visited in kibbutz, I understood you have been there as a volunteer - many kibbutz's still have a program for volunteer - you just have to search on the internet for the list of thoes kibbutz's - or send me a private message I will search for you.
