  • ill shit on the face of anyone who hates on HIL.

  • epic song

  • Beautiful beginning, Amazing song!!!!

  • is there no love to speak of?

  • By far my favorite He Is Legend song. Proof there is still good music out there. This is definitely one of those exceptions

  • I used to eat dinner... until I took an arrow to the knee.

  • where is the one high hat right at the end of the song that transitions into I Am Hollywood? that one high hat gets me amped

  • Pretty much the only thing I can enjoy by these guys, their screaming is so misplaced in more or less all of their songs, but at least their guitarist knows what's up. Just a gimmicky/boring Thursday-type post hardcore band with more poppyness really. Then I guess they decided to do a southern rock style? Again more astoundingly generic music. But this is nice.

  • @DanCiTi I really reallllly don't see how you can call HIL generic, I respect your opinion im not here to bash you and say you're a failure at life because you don't agree with me. I just really don't see how you can say HIL is generic

  • i've always thought that the beginning of this song sounds like one of the songs played on the weather channel.

  • This song kick so much ass!

  • Six people ate before dinner... With a gypse.

  • Holy hell this is good.

  • Damn that's nice!

  • holly shit. I love discovering nwe bands like this. just made my day(:

  • this rocks

  • i would break up with my gf to marry this song <3

  • there is some kinda love to type of :P

  • Just Beautiful

  • 0:00 - 1:02

for some reason reminds me of Megaman X games... :D

  • @BloodyHoneyBunny you damn geek lol jk gamers unite

  • this makes me realize that if they are any style its ( progressive )

  • 1:54 Skype sound?

  • Though all their stuff is good in its own way, the other three releases don't touch I am Hollywood. The intro and outro of this song reminds me so much of the music the Weather Channel plays.

  • This song just feels good

  • I am 43 years old, and I will tell you these guys rock. Love thier diversity and the way they find thier own sound. No copy cats. If you love modern rock how can you not love their sound? Keep it up guys.

  • @ltcballou The best explanation possible. Spot on

  • Love this song and band, but i JUST noticed the auto tuned part where he says "Where love can live near me", ive never noticed that before.

  • i. just. came.

  • This song makes me wanna learn how to play bass

  • They're such good songwriters and musicians, deffinately underrated in my opinion

  • there has to be a closer country where love can live near me, i've got to find it because right now i'm not seeing clearly, there's someone knocking on my door, no one lives here anymore..

  • This song is so good, its like perfect

  • this is just genuine musical talent, it flows well. his screaming parts are great when juxtaposed against the rest of the song, it just all works, and works well. He Is Legend really is genuinely talented i think.

  • "Where lovers cannot remember where they met and heartbreak is so easy to forget?"

    Las Vegas. Of course.

  • mmm.....tasty

  • @CareyBeaufordPortnoy They have only ever had one singer, fucktard.

  • Screamo? Brother this music is nothing like screamo, for example this is good.

  • Sounds like elevator music to me.

  • Ahhhh that end solo reminds me of every sad/disappointing/lonely moment i've had in my life.

  • best bassline ever

  • such an effective bassline...wow =]

  • the guitar at 4:50 is sooo good, gives me goose bumps every time

  • How and the fuck have I not heard about this band til' now?

Everything I've heard from them is awesome

  • amaaaaaaaaaaazing song..but for some reason everything after 5:38 just sucks idk what they did there but it kills the song=/

  • my favorite song of all time.. hands down

  • no doubt. one of my top 5 bands.

  • I don't think so, since they decided to change in style. In my opinion, it doesn't come close to their old stuff, despite their great talent and creativity. Their newer style is much more ordinarily southern; his voice changed dramatically, almost to the point where you couldn't recognize it; and the music became a little trashier. Nothing like 'I Am Hollywood'. If they were gonna change so drastically, I wish they would've at least changed their name, and not ruin what used to be He Is Legend.

  • @alkalinecluster yer i see what you mean

  • you know what i've never heard anything bad about he is legend and i thinks its because you cant because they are just the best

  • i haven't listened to these guys since i heard this song, is there new stuff worth listening/buying?

  • @respontaneous depends on what you enjoy, they have changed quite a bit since their original recordings, i have been listening since their days as 'the uriah omen' and have grown to appreciate all of their music, the newest one took a few listens to like but its pretty addictive

  • Comment removed

  • @respontaneous not in my opinion... my ears start bleeding after i hear any songs after the I Am Hollywood album.

  • @thepalmetto lol fair enough, bit harsh but it's your opinion, i think every band has 1 or 2 songs that becomes a benchmark for every other song they release, in my opinion this was one, but if they're writing what they like you know it's their dream they're livin, so i guess im just rambling about shit, i forgot what i was gonna type..damn lol, i guess it's up to the fans of their music at the end of the day, no one likes every single vegetable, so they can't like everything they hear either.

  • @respontaneous It's just how it is, I suppose. I understand not everyone has the same tastes, artists change, etc etc and all that jazz... I just live in this fantasy world in my head where all my favorite bands are epitomized by what I liked the most about them. The only artist I truly feel has changed with the times (over two decades and 10 albums) and has remained relevant to their fans is Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree.

  • @thepalmetto yeah i completely understand what you're saying

  • @respontaneous

I have to say 'I Am Hollywood' is absolutely their best, followed by '91025'. Other than that I couldn't care less.

  • if you know what there is to know yes if not dont bother

  • @respontaneous It Hates You was my album of the year,

    It's different stuff,

    But definitely great.

  • He is legend is NOT metalcore

  • ur a frickin dumbass u wudnt kno metalcore if it came up and screamed the word bitch in ur fag face

  • no, he is legend, (most of the band is good friends of mine, or at least somewhat friends) is def not metalcore... more like southern alternative...

i've been listening since their first show. i might know

  • Backed... it's not really noticeable in their first two albums but He is Legend is definitely some form of alternative rock with a southern vocal edge. If you hear HIL tracks I Am Hollywood and The Widow of Magnolia back to back, you'll hear almost two completely different bands. I can definitely hear a southern rock sound from them. To say that they're metalcore is a bit of a stretch, then again, the words Alternative Rock can mean just about anything these days.

  • @poophead86 oh god they aren't even close to metalcore! who said that? lol. def some elements of progressive, in my opinion. most bands are hard to define these days anyways. thats why genre wars suck. oh yeah, this song is incredible!

  • @poophead86 You've got to understand that there are people that don't love music like some do, they don't feel the music or believe it, they just listen. it's sad not everyone appreciates the talent and dedication it takes to be a musician

  • they really caught me. great album!

  • this is the best song by this amazing band.

  • I just discovered this band tonight... don't really like metalcore usually but wow they write well!

  • i can finally play the intro x'D

  • love this album so badly! i just cant get tired of listening it!

  • @infiniteobscure Youre soo right. Ive heard it a million times but it never gets old!

  • q buena guitarra y q buen bajo tiene esta canción...!

  • ooo si.....amen por eso hermano!

  • This song is the reason bass lines are sexy.

  • @SerinaTomoe

Yeah, too bad not a lot of modern bassist can compose great bass lines like this anymore.

  • In the line "There has to be a closer country where love can live near me."

Is it "can" or "can't"? I can hear both in a way... since the line flows through that word and the t could be slurred.

And can't seems to make more sense with the song that he wants somewhere where people don't remember where they met and heartbreak is easy to forget. So wouldn't he want love to not live near him?.

but then again he says "there is no love" so that means he could also want love to live near him.

  • "can"....lyrics in the info

  • @BalthzarSS Listen closlier. It's definitely "There has to be a closer country where love can't live near me."

  • @BalthzarSS

There is meaning in He is Legend songs? I didn't think they were about anything...

  • @BalthzarSS dude you went all in to detail nice

  • dont i know you?

you got to trust in me, we met yesterday !

  • i love this song

  • This band He Is Legend is one of the most incredible bands i've ever listen to. This song in general is one of the best they made. New cd is amazing as well, nothing short of brilliant.

  • Great song, from a great cd.

  • i love he is legend's style of music (:

this is one of my favorite songs by them :D

  • someones knockin on my doooooor

  • i dont live here anymooooorre!

  • Razz almost sounds like those gross Razzle

candies and this song isn't gross

  • This band's music is so diverse, I love it! :)

  • i love this song!!

the guitar intro reminds me of santana XD

    DONT I KNOOOWW YOUU!!!!

  • NO ONE LIVES HERE ANYMORE!

  • Hey just saying that this album was hard to follow

  • a little progressive? No?

  • would you say this is jazz fusion? like rock+jazz?

  • This album is amazing!! The one after this one sucks though...very disappointed

  • the guitars sound kinda blueish

  • i love these guys!!!!

  • <333

  • check out my little bass cover of this :DD!!!!

  • solo 2 palabras: jodidamente increible x)

  • this is my fav song right now, hell mother fucken yea.

  • I saw them back in 06 with

everytime I die, from first to last

    and story of the year.

    They're amazing live.

  • jeee i fucking love this band!

  • nice one.

its good to play on guitar

  • I saw them last night with Between The Buried And Me. Amazing band

  • i envy you.

i want to see them live so bad.

  • You should see them whenever you get the chance. They're amazing live

  • I really want to. I will do whatever it takes to go see them if they ever come to Indy.

  • they played together? where?

  • They played in at the Macon Venue Project in Macon, Georgia. It was on December 5th. They played a few more shows together after that.

  • touch my weener...

  • I <3 this song. (:

  • Youre right dallas, but you gotta work on your tone..Its always easy to play a song, but actually playing it really good and getting the tone right? Thats harder ;)

  • I actually can play the whole song :)

  • as can i.

    it's not that hard

check out my video of this song

    =]

  • what kind of genre would this song be put in? all i can really think is santana when i listen to this

  • its rock, not santana, cuz they scream, but the i am hollywood cd is not really a consistant genre, it fuses rock hardcore and screamo, but still has distinction from every genre

their newer stuff is different tho

  • i thought it was southern metalcore

  • @NaturallyNutritous07 its Post-Hardcore, this whole album was, it's just like 91025

  • finally, a video of he is legend without idiots filming themselves over the songs.

  • my favourite He is Legend song, too bad no one does any good covers for it on guitar. I want to learn it.

  • Same here. I'm actually getting me and my friends to learn it so we can do a little cover of it. It'll be sick if we actually pull it off, I love this song.

  • its not a difficult song to tell u the truth, just a lot to remember, its like one complete solo, i can play 90 percent of the guitar and all of the bass except the solo, its definately a fun one to play with and copy the style of the notes to write songs

  • Yeah exactly, I only have bits and pieces memorized right now. It's just a whole solo throughout the entire song lol. My friend's got the easy rhythm part.

  • Awesome stuff, can't wait to hear it.

  • Best album I ever bought

  • flawless

  • these guys are so talented

  • yo dudes i finally got a hold of their ep without the pain in the ass trip of the internet, so i shall put some of their older stuff up soon

  • best band

  • pretty much the best song ever.

  • great song
