I live about 5 miles from 35W in Fort Worth. I hate to tell everyone this, but the strip clubs along the highway south of I-20 are still going strong. I guess they need to pray harder!
Nice rant. BTW judgment must come before a highway of holiness.
What kind of judgment?
Isaiah 34:2-3 "The LORD is angry with all nations; his wrath is upon all their armies.
He will totally destroy them, he will give them over to slaughter. Their slain will be thrown out, their dead bodies will send up a stench; the mountains will be soaked with their blood."
I'm not sure about the biblical references, but I have noticed the historical tragedies on I-35 for many years now. I recently completed a documentary "I-35: Heartbreak and Healing on an American Highway". You can watch the trailer on YouTube: Drive Down 35. Look for it at the Dallas Film Festival. Bert Leahy
yeah i hate when people of any religion try to influence their beliefs upon other people... let them believe and think what and the way they want for pid sakes except for muslims and their religion of hate and pure distruction, lol
I go to that church. It's called Heartland and it's in Dallas. Just FYI, the church and pastors do not believe that Isaiah 35:8 is referring to I-35 highway. They just think that it is a neat coincidence. The pastor cleared that up immediately. Media spins things the way they want to. Just thought you would like to know. :)
Sorry about my misunderstanding. I think its great that you guys are talking to people about Jesus. I just have a problem anytime someone takes a verse out of context to promote anytime of campaign (prayer, mission trip, etc.) It just seems as if one should do things because of the love of God (which I believe you all are doing) without having to have a verse (coincidence or not) to push the idea.
