The only car accident I got in before I had my license was when I swerved to avoid an amardillo while doing 55mph, and hit the accelerator instead of the brakes, swerved across the road and jumped a 12 foot gap full of rebar pointing up like a spike pit into bushes on the other side. Luckily everyone was ok, it was ridiculous trying to get the car back across that gap though (we eventually just used a bunch of boards from the nearby construction site and backed reeeally carefully across)
