This is pretty cool seeing all of this at once, even if it makes it hard to play. It reminds me of the first times I ever seen full Super Mario Bros levels all as one graphic, like Nintendo Power used to do back in the days before parallax scrolling and 3D. I'd love to give this game a try!

This looks good, but why did you opt for a full-room view instead of a, say, 320 x 240 view that follows the player character and puts more emphasis on the sprite work?
