Getting to the cake is easy and killing him is pretty easy til you get to the third hit. Its very hard to time. :(

Mario's speed becomes harder to control when he skates. Unlike the torus in Freezeflame, Mairo can fall off over here, and I don't take that sort of chance.

Hey, do you think you can try to do the level without a Spring Mushroom with Mario? I've attemped to do the level without it, but I can't seem to get high enough for the Wall-Jump in the beginning. I have, however, done the level without the Spring Mushroom using Luigi, since his jumps are slightly higher.

Mario wouldn't be able to go far enough to get over the wall from the spoon. Spring Mario's vertical distance is tremendous, but his horizontal movement is still the same as ever.

Alo, you're right--I hardly ever notice the guy because I'm almost always Spring Mario here.

Actually, there is a shortcut on the orange cake, but not from the higher spoon at 1:42. It's from the fork used to cross from the slice of cake to the cake itself (see 1:36-1:38 of this video). Instead of jumping down to the cake and going around clockwise, go down to the very tip of the fork's handle, do a jump, and steer toward the wall. Mario should just barely clear it and land in the sling star. Kinda hard to position Mario at the fork's tip with the spring suit on, but worth it. :-)

I really love the bosses in this game. The whole game is awesome... and the amount of bosses are icing on the cake. My favorite boss is Bouldergeist! I tried looking for a comet video of Bouldergeist but couldn't find any. :(

I've done the boss at the end without even using the spring mushroom. It also makes it much easier. Backflip+spin+wallkick+spin.

Yeah. It's a pretty hard combo to do, but once you get the hang of it (sometimes you'll get it right away) it's really easy. Except sometimes the electric ball might hit you while you're doing it.
