I love these little Jim Shorts!! I unfortunately don't have a video camera or film software. However, I do take pictures, and these are quite helpful :)
Instead of changing the Word background color (which seems to not print, for some reason) Just go into paint and make a block of color with that RGB scale. You can copy it into Word, and stretch it out over the whole page. The reason for copying it into word is that Paint is stupid sometimes and doesn't usually print it on the whole page.
Also, make sure you use "Best" quality setting when printing.
I am an ardent student of jimshorts and jimclass! I really want to understand key frames and keying and whatnot. Have Vegas and Adobe a.e. but am pitifully unable to understand what I am doing. You explain things so effectively and clearly I thought I'd put in my (ahem) small request for these future video tutorials. :-)

i love your videos man. i had some major color issues while making my first film (Bomb Hills...)but that was due to major hardware & software mafunction. After getting past those problems, i havnt much paid attention to color. i will now. thanx man.
Hey jim! i'm a New Wannabe filmy chap from MSN. i been on for about a week and havn't made anything yet. but i have watched all ya vidz and i like your humur and your opinoins. very good:)
THATS AWESOME...that really improves the picture thanks Jim...do webcams have the same feature if not what software does this feature??? also i replied to ur e-mail ages ago! :) lol take it easy Jim 5 stars
Hi christinibeani! As you probably know, you can use white balancing to give images a certain look. Want a blueish, cold shot? White balance to a pale yellow card, etc. Experimenting is fun!
You should probably buy one from a website like bhphotovideo. They're less than 10 bucks, and worth the money. Otherwise, a bright white t-shirt or bright white paper works, just not as well.
is very helpful video...great one.. :)

Actually let me fix what I said earlier.

For those on a budget, or just don't want to go out and buy one you can make one.
open Microsoft Word go to Format > Background > More colors
then hit the "Custom" tab and make a color with 117 red, 117 blue, and 117 green, then hit OK and print your page!
I will keep this up in my profile in case you forget it, or if this comment gets bumped.

Hey Coreymon,
If you live in a bigger town with a decent camera shop, they should have them. Otherwise, there are several places online that sell them.

Virtually every editing program out there (aside from Windows Movie Maker) can do this. I'll make a video on it.
And on that email, I'm still thinking about how to answer it. In the mean time, don't worry, be happy! :-D
