The inferno doesnt sound to be reving to high. Doesnt sound like a race engine to me. Dump a Nova in it, all over for Baja. Run a bigger clutch bell, the 1/8th buggy will smoke em off the line and top out at a higher speed.

the GT in this video is slow and i think it only has single gear so the baja keeps up and beat the GT at the end. but you can not compare this two models because they are not the same scale model. no matter whos faster its still incomparable.

@ojoj626 dude, what are you talking about? The inferno has more options? really? They have developed an electric kit for the Baja, and some guy has a turbine on it. There are just as many if not more parts for the Baja than Inferno and they are easier to get. I own both and the Inferno is a "toy" compared to the Baja. Than there is the fun factor, who wants to drive a buzzing Inferno, when you can drive a car that sounds like a dirt bike.

As for parts selection there is a ton of online web sites and 1 that i know of that caters to just infernos.

There both hobby grade models the baja is just bigger in scale nothing more.

As for the kyosho parts supply i guess it just depends on where you are in the usa it can be hard to find a local parts supplier but over seas there are lot of em.

Seeing as how i normally dont break parts wating a few days for mine to come in the mail really dosent really bother me and parts are usualy a good 10% cheaper on line anyway.

Do the test again, with a tuned nitro engine. Nitro will piss all over two stroke, any day. Harder to tune than your strimmer with wheels, but worth it.

Nitros are 2 stroke engines. The piston cycle has everything to do with it. every time a nitro engine's piston is at TDS it ignites the mixture making it a 2 stroke engine

The cycle of the engine means nothing when you are discussing fuel. Plus I don't know of any piston engine that does not ignite at top dead centre, somewhere during the cycle. A nitro engine IS a two CYCLE engine, but it runs on nitro fuel. When someone asks what motor you have in your car, you don't say "Oh it's a two stroke nitro engine". Nitro is proven to burn faster than petrol, that's why top fuel racers use it. And then you have power to weight ratio's, how heavy is a nitro motor?
