@Restarea11019V Yes and no. DTC is a program within the DSC System that allows for greater thresholds to be exceeded before the system intervenes. One example as the video stated, is greater wheel-spin than would be allowed with the standard DSC program. This is so the car has more freedom to break away from heavy snow, snow drifts, ice, etc.
DTC...gives you some additional wheel spin.. DSC...manages all this keeping the car planted ad going in the direction you want applying breaks...and using sensors..to determine..yadadaa
i have an 2004 330xi, what year is your BMW, when i press the DSC button an the yellow caution light comes , dose that mean it's on or off ? please help me out
On Mercedes and some others, when the light for ESC is on steady it is currently off. When the ESC kicks in, the light flashes (sometimes also accompanied by a chime or buzzer) and then goes out when the car is under control.

DTC is not the same as DSC ????

Nop. They are two different things and works for different situations.
When you turn on your car DSC is automatically turned on. But DTC is off.
It requires a bit more of an explanation to understand what is each one for... we´ll leave that for another day.

DTC allows wheel spin, but still monitors yaw rate/steering angle/etc.
DSC does not allow wheel spin and monitors all parameters.

If you press it and the warning triangle comes on solid that should mean it's now off. (That's what it means on Mercedes vehicles, anyway.)
