I think Korto and Leanne both succeeded in creating very cohesive collections, and presenting them in a way that really presented strong themes and a really strong flavour. I LOVE the music to this. the only negative critique I can think that the judges picked Leanne over Korto is that Korto used a lot of stiffer textiles; therefore, less movement. But I LOVE her collection. It's classic, less is more, with a twist.

I think Korto should have won because not only was her collection IMPECCABLY done, it was beautiful and she has been consistent throughout the competition.

HOWEVER,

The more I think about it, I understand the reasoning behind the judges decision. I think when it comes to wearability, the judges may not have thought from a marketing perspective,that Korto's line would be as sellable as Leanne's.

DEFINATELY FASHION FORWARD, but it may not have been as workable for them.

Yes her collection showed much color variation, but Leanne showed more versatility as far as dresses, skirts, pants, shorts, which is what the judges also marked on as well. I, personally, would have to agree that I was attracted more to Korto's collection however.

The detail work on the white pant outfit is wonderful and her pleating is sublime. Look at the details. This is what makes a real fashion artist. The fit of the first dress was stunning. It was like silk. Maost dresses like that bunch or droop. This fit was great. She does beautiful work.

korto used mostly warm, shiny monotones, stiffer fabrics, ruffles, pleating & exagggerated proportions.
