  • I just checked out your flickr that's really cool. You ever thought of turning it in to a real working website?

  • with ultimate reality app you mean photoshop?

  • I really like your channel. Please make a video but with the actual websites of each year. I have a OS8 manual, the picture of the website is in the PDF.

  • i look at your website.

  • @azfuzzrandom Read the description.

  • @mattsmacintosh in the app

  • If you guys want to see what any website looked like in the past, I'd highly advise you check out archive.org. Its really cool!

  • I love how the first apple was 666 dollars

  • Awesome man!!! Great work!!! LoL!!!

  • FAKE

  • @ThankYTC no duh, sherlock

  • 8K of RAM wow, shows really how far we've come.

  • 0:36 "Apple Flat Panel DIsplay". If that was around in the 80s, people would've gone crazy.

  • @bamsb90 It was around. All the products and slogans are 100% accurate to the year.

  • @MattsMacintosh That would be cool. where can you get a Macintosh SE/30 and how much does it cost?

  • @MattsMacintosh Oh really? Wow. Did it sell well for the company? Or was it a flop?

  • El diseño de la pagina web de Apple, no ha cambiado sigue siendo la misma de siempre

  • look at the price of the apple one at 0:54

  • @allthatstuff35 Lol, apple is the devil XD

  • The theme is not even close. You used their mid 2000s theme, not their 1990s theme.

  • @TimurTripp You're an idiot. Read the description. He obviously wasn't making a realistic version, just showcase products and slogans through the years.

  • 0:12 That for music

  • 0:26 lol a ds early? :p

  • 0:57 See our ads in Byte magazine - LOL

  • @EPS5000 I hope you're kidding as much as Matt is.

  • It always looked nice.

  • Hah, that's great. I'm somewhat frightened at the time you put into it, however.

  • Since when did anybody have internet in 1981? I mean, it looks like a modern website, with a menu bar and everything! Was the apple website designed for people who had very expensive computers with mice?

  • @JeremyPassarelli Are you being serious dude? This is a mockup made up by Matt just for something to do...

  • Haha, nice. I wonder what the equivalent of Apple's website actually did look like back before the Internet, when Apple had services like AppleLink and eWorld.

  • if there was internet back then and apple had a website One thing is for sure...

    they wont use flash.. LOL

  • It seems more exciting to live in those days.

  • that awkward moment when this 1981 site

looks more modern than the real apple site in 1996

  • Did anyone else see "Starting at $666.66" at 0:53? LMAO!

  • @ViciousDave4Life

    That was the actual price

  • if u really want 2 c what it looked like [circa 1994] go to the internet archive wayback machine.

  • an above avg style is very much appreciated on youtube. thx.

  • amazing video . i love all of your videos !

  • was the internet even exits?

  • @HenryHins Pardon?

  • @HenryHins LOLWUT?

  • it seems like you WORK at apple, with all these great products! also, i love your attention to the miniscule things! they make your videos stand out!

  • @MegaCamu wow dude awesome, seeing apple's marketing from way back when the first gen ipod nano came out-total nostalgia. mind = blown

    thanks

  • I love how in the 1984 version the mouse was at the same angle as if you saw the magic mouse on the website today. haha

  • @MegaCamu OMG That's cool man! THANKS FOR THAT LINK ;)

  • You pressed the eject key

  • @groyal980 UFOguysaying"Apple Users".jpeg

  • 21 person have PC

  • @MegaCamu These dates where before a) internet or b) Internet looked good

  • I just realized that internet was exist at 1976.. lol

  • @oatwhisk It did. Just not the World Wide Web part of what we have today.

  • I JUST SUBSCRIBED TO U!

  • @samfutch101 ya I noticed that too! Lol

  • you pressed the escape button.

  • Everything after 0:28 should be in monochrome lol

  • @Segadude3000 - I agree. it should have been that spinach green color of the classic monitor.. I miss those!

  • Hey Matt, Could you make a video on the Apple Lisa?

  • There was no Web in 1994 :P Internet was made in the 60's (Or the theory on how it would work, at least) but the Web didn't exist until '95.

  • @LegoLoverFilms The worldwideweb or web as we know it was first created in 1990. It was available to everyone for free starting in April of 1993.

  • "Starting at $666.66"

    Nice.

  • @MegaCamu BUT you can only go as far back as 1986, and whereas a lot of their stored webpages have lost their pictures or graphics.

  • 8k of memory. Win

  • 1976 ?????

  • the motherboard at 0:55 is a devil!!! it costs 666.66 dollars.

  • $666.66?

  • FAKE!!!

  • @yhynerson1 That was the whole point...

  • @yhynerson1 troll. that is real. WayBackMachine is where he got them from

  • RSS feed in the 80's!

  • Oh god, I am such an apple fanboy.

  • @MegaCamu i tried it, but sometimes the damm page doesn't load some features at all

  • too many pixels!

  • umm in 1976 there was internet.

how could u surf the web >?

  • Um they had Internet in the 1980's in fact the apple ii had a modem

  • I love your attention to detail, you are truly a great youtuber :)

  • The Apple I had an evil price tag XDDD

  • $666.66 for the Apple-I, is that some sort of sign?

  • Wow, you could EASILY fool someone showing them these XD These definitely look like they were made by apple.

  • fake...!!!

  • @panoskpaok1998 ummm..... you know its a joke, right? I'll just assume you're being sarcastic.

  • 00:12 all of their "worst" products?

  • i don't think they were worried about a website back then, they were more worried about going bankrupt

  • E-P-I-C!

  • @Dracogame ahahahah sfigatooo xD

  • dont you mean interwebs and css3/html4?

  • Brilliant video, but it could have been even better and legit looking using the famous "Apple Garamond".

  • GUYS!!! Internet never existed to the public in 1994-1976. Oh and mac never existed till 1984. So this video is a funny joke hehehe.

  • Have you ever consided getting a PowerBook or a PowerMac

  • very good

although web 2.0 wasn't invented then, well, i still give this vid a thumbs up....

  • @kbhasikevin Obviously the internet as we know it didn't exist then... that's why its "alternate reality". It was a joke.

  • @GoingBackToCheney alternate vs argumented?

  • the history of technology ladies and gentlemen

  • 0:54 Starts at $666.66 EVILLLLLL :O

  • it was different

  • Hey check out the webarcive to look at apple website at its 1996-2005 days.

  • $666.66 WTF 0:48

  • @brandon35335 lol

  • still quiet similar as now

  • fake

  • @pasrvrb Wow. You're a dumbass. Obviously its not real. Its just a cool way to show old Apple products. It even says that in the description.

  • OMG apple didn't changd the design till now :O :D ilike it :P :d

  • this is one of my favourite videos but in reality i liked the apple website the most when the first ipod came out

  • strange how at 0:53 it costs 666.66

  • @savakucherin

That's what Steve Wozniak sold them for, he had no idea that 666 was connected to the devil. It was $500.00 with a 33% mark-up, and he liked repeating digits.

  • back in 1970s it actually didnt look old!

  • it's amazing how I find Apple's own advertising tedious and annoying (love their products though) but your videos make me want to go out and buy more :D

  • i saw a newton and with all the work ive done on it its the blacka and white ipad

  • What an awesome video!

  • Que bagulho idiota, internet foi chegar para usuarios domesticos em meados de 96.

  • ahahaha nice vid mate :D

  • starting at 666.66 lol

  • Great job Matt, very impressive videos!

  • You even nailed it down to the Garamond font, lol. Fantastic job yet again.

  • COOL! I never thought of that video idea! Where did you find those awesome pictures?!

  • What did you use to make these? You should make it a full-on page for your site. Also maybe give out the source code for it so people can start their own "What-would-Apple-look-like-way-back-then" set.

    -Drew

  • You should make it into a site :D PLEASE!!!

  • Well done!!! Your Vids are great! *thumbs up* =)

  • kick ass!

  • very legit!

  • Thanks EB and/or Scooter!

  • @MattsMacintosh Hey man, nice vid, whats that thing called the TV is mounted onto?

  • LoL wish the internet look like your video in those years. I remember it took so long to display a single page of any site cause modems were so slow and the graphics look so bad. Thank god DSL is here. btw congrats cause your video is awesome. Keep up the good work.

  • Ha... I almost miss the modem dail-up sound... almost...

  • @MattsMacintosh You can use archive dot org to check out how the apple website looked as far back as 1996.

  • @MattsMacintosh lol, i feel the same... I even wrote a modem simulator for my macbook :) check out the video demo on my channel

  • Haha that's some kick ass photoshop skills!

  • like the idea great video!

  • cool video, I think it would look more like a geocities site with primitive flash rather than what you posted though lol

  • Ha. I actually had a geocities page back in the day... complete with bad GIF animation. The first browsers able to display graphics didn't come online until 93, so really all the pages before that would just be text. That would have made a really boring video.

  • Great video. Nice photoshopping!

  • Awesome Photoshop work!

  • Haha I really love the creativity.

But I remembered before the site right now, the navigation bar was completely different.

  • Oh yeah, it was waaay different in the early days. I just added a link in the sidebar to a gallery showing the real apple site back to 1996

  • Another amazingly creative and well put together video.

  • through all those years the contact numbers been the same.. oh how the times change

  • Awesome video, do you have two touches? NOt gonna lie it looks very very similar to what it looks like now. Your videos are amazing, especially the back in time ones.

Your one of the reasons I now make some tech videos.

  • One is a Touch, one is an iPhone. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

  • @MattsMacintosh anytime, thanks for making sick videos, sites.

  • Hah, that's funny. It really reminds you how much technology has advanced.

  • Cool haha, nice job!

  • Awesome dude, thats pretty old skool.
