My name is Webb Parker and I am the director of the Concert Choir at the University of Oregon. I would like to program this piece next term. Please email me at donaldp@uoregon.edu to discuss specifics should you be willing to allow us to perform this piece.
This is unbelievably beautiful!! Is there a way you could get your college choir to perform it if you are in college, or submit it to a competition? I can't imagine this not winning a prize.
@AgnesRegina Thank you so much, you're very kind. Unfortunately, I have no access to choirs at this time. I have considered putting it in a few competitions though. If you have a college choir, it's all yours. :)
This orchestration--even without the voices--captures the color and tone of the poem better than nearly every attempt that I have ever heard. I've listened to it four times back to back. Great work. The only thing I found myself wanting were more dramatic tempo fluctuations from time to time. Did you record this on Sibelius, or some other music program?
@HURLOCKS Hi! Wow! What a wonderful thing to say, thank you so very much! I totally agree with you about the tempo. I tend to focus too much on the word painting aspect of the music which usually begets a slower tempo ( so you can hear the words), haha. I think I just expect that who ever conducts my music will conduct it at their own tempo. As for the platform - it's Sibelius 3.

@joshuajacobtaylor I don't direct a college choir, but I sing in one... I could ask my director for you!
