  • FUCK LOGAN MADER. HES A FAGGOT AND A TOOL

  • @dnrink44 you're the faggot he's married to a hot Russian chick while your only girlfreind is your hand

  • He should have never got kicked out of Machine Head, he's too fucking awesome

  • can anybody tell me please ...where is the fkn guitar lesson here??? XD

  • people used harmonics before but I think he means that Machine Head used them extensively I mean in pretty much every song they have those signature ringing harmonics

  • he looks awesome

  • damn he looks different n the dreds realy don't suit him if im being honest bring back the black mane of hair !

  • Van Halen. Pantera. Just 2 bands before Machine Heads' time that used both natural and artificial harmonics. This guy is chatting shit.

  • @MrORLY tbh tho, u cant really compare them to mh, totally different genres.

  • @1jack369 I'm not comparing them, he's just he was the first person to do it, ever.

  • He looks like a reject out of culture club,or wham now.But he is a great producer, and has the ability to make bands, sound better.

  • he used to have a hard look. looks like a homo now.

  • Machine Head revolutionised a "new" approach to Metal, period.Just listen to their first demo, it fukkin rips!Nobody else was doin this "new" metal, and MH can in no way being compared to the pussy bands that came afterwards like Bizkit and Korn. It was as much a team effort for this band then a one man show. Everybody worked on ideas and riffs in MH, but Logan and Robb being the main contributors. Now having Phil Demmel in the band brings def a more old school feel to MH

  • Machine Head have their influences on the sleeves, i'm thinking Prong and Neurosis def. Prong were one of the first to use pinching harmonics in songs and Neurosis just influenced MH alot for the build up tempos they do in alot of their debut songs; Urly 90's there was NOTHING in the bay area as far as thrash goes. Metallica were riding on their rockstar U2 loath and reloath trip.

  • RR used natural harmonics in crazy train, that was 15 years before Machine Head.

  • good guitar player and machinehead were better for having him in the band, but lets be honest here, he didn't pioneer 'shit'.

  • Just to say how he's the shit, he produced The Cavalera Conspiracy: Inflikted in 2008 and DelvilDriver: Pray for the Villains in 2009 among others, for the ones that know this bands too! you people cant really talk shit about this guy right here!

  • Why so much hate on Mader?

    He fucking rocks

  • Hell yeah!

  • someone needs to look up the definition of the word pioneered. dudes not old enough to have pioneered the techniques mentioned.

  • find older musicians that had natural harmonics in close to every song.......

    come on, Davidian!

  • using natural harmonics in close to every song is not the same as pioneering the use of natural harmonics, which have probably been used as long as guitars have been around.

  • @utfaod you're right, tommy victor was doing natural harmonics in prong before machine head, id actually go as gar as saying they copied tommy's style somewhat, like on 'beg to differ'.

  • he looks like some stupid character from star wars.

  • shut up....and take that wig off ..dumbass

  • I personally like logan mader and think machine head went a bit shit without him but...

Rob Flynn wrote a lot more of the riffs and constructed the stuctures, logan just had some badass playing. Not a pioneer so to speak.

  • Logan is great...and he has wonderful hair! :P

  • He didnt pioneer shit, he just looks stupid

  • Carcass were tuned to 'B' in 1989!!!

Rob Flynn started the doing the 'harmonic' riffs in Machinehead

  • thnk you carcass tuned to b all through thier carrer some of the sabbath with ozzy was tuned down real low

  • @Hench666Hunter666Jay

actually a lot of the sabbath riffs are straight tunes, it may sound like a detune but it has more to do with the tone of the guitar than anything else. For instance a fuzz pedal on a guitar makes the pitch sound detuned.Besides a lot of grunge bands in the late 80's already took that downtuning idea and used it in a more "pop music" context. Downtuned riffs don't make a music style! It just becomes convenient if the song asks that.

  • I can't believe he turned into a tribal pippylongstocking

  • "He pioneered many techniques such as dropped tunings, natural harmonics, and right hand muting."

Yeah cause nobody was doing anything like this before 1994.

Next thing it'll say: This guy invented Thrash metal, and he taught Tony Iommi how to be heavy. Logans a decent guiotarist, but I'm sorry... he's no pioneer except on how to look goofy. eikohtiek you have a lot to learn about the origins of metal music.
